Favourite City for Prince

Which City do people think was Princes favourite to play? I saw him most in London and it always struck me that he seemed to play more dates in London on tours than any other European City, Apart from Minneapolis and Las Vegas (residency), London must have been one of the top cities he played the most gig's in?

He played in Paris a lot and mentioned he liked France.

This is my normal life. These marital standards cannot be recreated with money.

I'm guessing he played London allot as there was a big well off fan base there, so playing 21 nights etc could be done, I can't see that happening in many citys?

I remember going to the opening night of the Lovesexy gigs in Paris Bercy in 1988, I went with the 'Revolution' fan club, we had tickets for the second night, but arrived on the opening day in a coach, so a few of us headed straight for Bercy Omisports and were surprised we could buy tickets at the venue on the day (choosing seats from a big map with lots available), that would not usually happen at London Prince gigs.

I remember rumours in the late 80's of Prince relocating to London, I don't think he ever bought a place the UK?

Yep, I went to it in Camden, very odd venture, it was open around 1994.

I always thought Los Angeles. There were so many tours that went through LA and so many one-off shows throughout his entire career. Even after he began to limit the cities he played in, the shows never stopped in LA. You coukld see Prince almost every year if you wanted to if you lived in LA.

Well, none of us really have the answer to this, so I'm going to say my hometown Toronto. He had a home here, bought a lot of his clothes here, played here regularly over the years and always commented on how much he liked and respected our way of life here. In fact, he talked about it again at his last concert here on March 25, 2016.
