artist control

I wonder what control an artist has over the reserving of the best seats for the companies that sell the VIP packages? If none or little, I hope the artist gets their fair share of the income. If they have a considerable control, it's not very fan-friendly

I think it is "smoke & mirrors". The Artist usually says it is the venue/promoter who control ticket vendors and allocation - but I'm sure they have an input into maximising their revenue.

But the Artist will always look to be "fan-friendly" by saying that it out of their control.

Remember, the biggest revenue earner for an Artist these days is live performing and they will want to get as much as they can!

Rightly or wrongly...
