The prices are up for all shows on the Dainty site. The Buy Tickets buttons take you to Ticketek.

Hmm, it takes me to Ticketmaster. Is that what you meant?

Oops, that's what I meant. My mind said Ticketmaster but my fingers typed Ticketek. Either way, Dainty doesn't sell tickets directly.

The Opera House and Ticketek seem to be selling tickets separately for the one show. That is confusing.

Will be interesting to see some seating plans to see the division of those price categories!

Usually the Opera House will have a seperate allocation of tickets to Ticketek for these pop shows. Would be fascinating to know how they split the allocation!

Dainty Site is showing that there will be 2 shows in Auckland.

.

One at 6.30pm and one at 10.30pm Ticket prices

.

$389.00

$219.90

$99.00

.

2 tickets per person = only one for each show, and I want to go to both shows.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Looks like some indicative prices have been out up on ticketmaster for one of the Sydney shows. Sorry can't post a screen shot at the moment. When I clicked state theatre and event info that's where the prices where. It only worked on PC not on mobile. CAT 1 $101.72
CAT 2 $224.06
CAT 3 $397.37

What's everyone's thoughts re 6:30pm or 10pm shows?

6:30pm show:

  • Would have a pretty definite end time, given the 10pm show following
  • If it starts late, could be very short
  • However, IF there's an aftershow, less issues in terms of having to leave the show early to get in line for the aftershow
  • All previous Prince performances I've been lucky enough to see (Melbourne, Vegas, London, Melbourne) mostly started after 9pm. It would be kind of wierd seeing Prince perform during daylight hours!

10pm show:

  • could start late if the previous show overruns and then there could be issues at the venue if P wants to continue past midnight
  • however if the venue is cooperative, maybe the show could go on until the wee small hours
  • somehow I expect the audience of the later shows to be more long term die hard fans and maybe there's less chance I will be sitting next to someone getting bored or complaining about him playing things outside of the few mainstream hits they know

Dilemmas, dilemmas...

On the Dainty site which is the Australian one. The prices are same as OZ shows, but they could be wrong, choosing to buy leads you to the ticketmaster site.

.

That shows the tix are not 4 sale yet.

.

The ASB theatre site is not even listing the shows yet!!!!!

http://www.daintygroup.com/tour/prince-piano-a-microphone-tour-2016/#map-canvas

Click on right Ticket and event info box and a drop down menu showing prices comes up.

.

My guess is for both shows, just drink a lot of coffee, cram a meal break between shows, There is Burger King and Carls Junior near the ASB theatre and I may hit them between show 1 and show 2.

Is it foolish to even waste time trying to get tickets for the Sydney Opera House show? I would love to be there .... but I can just imagine my browser going into meltdown trying to get through.

Ticketmaster at the moment are listing only two prices for the Melbourne tickets, aud$104.95 to $397.44, although since it says "price range" maybe that's just the highest and the lowest.

Ticketmaster don't officially even say what time the shows are in Melbourne!

I'm just hoping that my workplace doesn't schedule a meeting for 11.59 am tomorrow!!

Prince is like a smoky liqueur, best enjoyed after dark.

And I'm sure he gives 100% every time, but the last time I went to a matinee of anything I could tell the singer wasn't giving his all - at all.

I'm hedging my bests on the second performance on the second night at Melbourne being the pick.

Does anybody have a good strategy for Ticketmaster? Creating an account is a good step. Any advantage to registering a payment source?

I've had a look at another show, and you can either pick seats from the map, or allow Ticketmaster to make a selection. The map uses a sluggish Flash selector, so I'd be wary that it would sit there spinning while all the seats are purchased. They will sell out quickly, so a few minutes could be make or break!

Please share your purchasing strategies smile

Here's what I have found on the ticketmaster website.

1. Each show is now listed at http://www.ticketmaster.c...eA_artist1

2. When a show is available the button says 'See Tickets'. If not, the button says 'More Info'.

3. Those two links go to the same URL For example, the More Info link for the second Sydney show takes you here:

http://www.ticketmaster.com.au/prince-sydney-new-south-wales-21-02-2016/event/1300504806BCC015?artistid=735895&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=1

4. Rereshing that page prior and until sale should be your quickest way to the links to purchase tickets for that show.

5. Clicking Find Seats For Me should be faster than selecting the seats. (as advicsed by Ticketmaster).

This advice comes without warranty, and is only given on the assumption there aren't 8,000 Prince fans reading this post!

Step 6 for the brave: Adding &bba=1 to the end of the link to the show above should load the Find Seats For Me page. For example, the above link to the Sydney show would be http://www.ticketmaster.c...&bba=1

That would save a few seconds.

What a dilemma. I am on the Gold Coast and checked flights and there are hardly any left for Sydney - so what does a girl do? If I am lucky to buy tickets then can't get a flight I am screwed. YOu have to attend to pick up the tickets. And I would not book a flight without knowing I have tickets and sounds like they are going to be like golden hens teeth to get !!

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

Use a travel agent. Depending on airline they can hold domestic tickets for 24 hours. At least we can in NZ so I presume it's the same.

I'm an agent in Auckland. I'll do it for you with no booking fee if it can be held. Orgnote me if you want my help.
