Sorry, Adore, but I disagree. A concert shouldn't be for diehard fans only.

Yes but the diehard fans should have prioirty over the fairweather fans who have heard 2 albums by Prince in their lives. Plus its New Zealand a country completely neglected by Prince and many other artists, so its going to be a royal rumble here.

No exaggeration 50 family and friends have contacted me since 4:00 Friday about going. If there is only 4000(?) tickets allotted they'll be gone in 5 minutes

The 'Sunday Telegraph' and 'Daily Telegraph' newspapers in Australia are publication titles in the Newscorp group.

https://en.wikipedia.org/...Australia)

The 'Sunday Telegraph' and 'Daily Telegraph' newspapers in the UK are publication titles in the Telegraph Media group.

https://en.wikipedia.org/..._Telegraph

They are entirely separate business entities and it does not signify anything about UK shows.

God I hope not, but you have a pretty funky family if they are all Prince fans.

Mr Nelson rather inconsiderately seems to have timed this to coincide with my holiday to Fiji.

Can't grumble though, have had the chance to see him a few times since D&P Earls Court 91.

Have fun all, this looks like it will be special!

Right now, it would be nice to know the times and costs of these concerts. I'll have to do a quick fly in and fly out from Adelaide and I'll need to assess what is possible.

is there any speculation on how the shows will be arranged with 2 shows in one night?..

for melbourne, 4 shows over two nights. would it be A/B, A/B or A/A, B/B. ?

I am going to have to go to all four to find out I guess..

I don't understand the question. Will he have two different setlists, do you mean? I would expect the shows to be A/A A/A or (P being P) A/B C/D. wink

I dont think the question is that complicated. prince is known for changing up set lists between tours.

I highly doubt the melbourne leg will be anything close to A/A, A/A..

Would expect to have at least two different sets- obviously with some double up songs between sets.

Most logically the shows will be like:

A/B and A'/B' or

A/B and A'/C or

A/B and C/D (rare...?)

.

Expect some overlap, compare to the PP shows and remember Montreux 2009 or so?

I'm just worried about getting a ticket to anything. Trying to figure out which shows might have what playlist is the furthest thing from my mind.

Exactly! Especially now the concerts have been given max exposure in the Tele. I am limited in what shows I can go to. If I get in.

Yep. I've been struggling too. The initial adrenalin filled euphoria at the news turned to dread and anxiety very quickly. Then the anger sets in, aimed at the fucktards online who claim they want to go on mass and want to hear raspberry beret.

Good luck to everyone trying to get tickets to these shows! I can't wait to see the setlists, even though they will probably be very similar to the Paisley Park shows.

I agree, its Prince, I don't if he comes out and sings Boytrouble, Lemon Crush, We gets up and then performs the Kama sutra album and spends the rest of the time reading out of a Watchtower or Awake magazine. It's Prince and he is in New Zealand!!!!!

In time I am sure that will sink in to you all razz

Looks like some indicative prices have been out up on ticketmaster for one of the Sydney shows. Sorry can't post a screen shot at the moment. When I clicked state theatre and event info that's where the prices where. It only worked on PC not on mobile.

CAT 1 $101.72
CAT 2 $224.06
CAT 3 $397.37

Oh and show times were 6:30 and 10pm

Good find. Viewing the page source for the Sydney shows reveals the prices and show times. The same trick doesn't work for Melbourne.

As suspected they updated the categories that were in the wrong order. Obviously CAT 1 is better seating and higher price not CAT 3.

The Dainty Group is showing 6:30p and 10p as the show times for all venues. Now we just need some prices. I think the 10p Melbourne Shows and the Saturday Sydney shows are the only ones that I can hope to get into.

Would it be best to book via the Dainty website, or go straight to Ticketmaster website?
Or doesn't it matter?

The prices are up for all shows on the Dainty site. The Buy Tickets buttons take you to Ticketek.
