I don't like our chances. It would have to be at Horncastle, and the sound there is terrible.

Still crossing my fingers and everything else though!

The rumour was he was to play in June 2012 too, but the Vector Arena was not big enough for the Symbol set and fine weather can not be guaranteed in Auckland so Mt Smart or Western Springs wa sout of the question.

.

The Adore cream Prince channel will also be reproting on the shows. I intend to go to all if any Auckland shows and the shows in Christchurch if any as its my hometown and my friends and family are down there.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Urgh its torture not knowing!!! I've got this gnawing anxiety that I'm pretty sure won't go away until I know exactly where the shows are, how many I can get to if affordable and have the purchased tickets in my possession neutral

The rumours coming from Melbourne have the dates as follows (these are not gospel, they are merely rumours)

February 19th & 20th - Sydney Opera House

February 21st - State Theatre Sydney

February 22nd - 27th Four shows in Melbourne (exact dates and location not disclosed)

As I say these dates are only rumour but may provide something to work off for those wanting to attend.

Those Sydney dates looks possible at both venues although there is a morning orchestral concert in the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall till round 1pm on Feb 19th, but if lights pre rigged overnight and just keyboard & mics to fine tune all could be ready to go by showtime! Bring it on oh purple maestro!!

With small venues and the inevitable million fans coming out of the woodwork, what are the chances that 'true' fans will be able to get tickets? I worry..

Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop.

ASB theatre is tiny. I'm terrified I'll miss out.

sad

Edited. Not as bad as I thought. Unthought it was the small theatre underneath with 186 capacity. It's the main auditorium at 2176 so around 4300 tickets over the two shows up for grabs. Still small but hopefully the nature of the show will put off the greatest hits hangers on.

Aw man every time a bigger name artist plays the opera house it is always a very hard ticket to get and seems to sell out in a split second mostly to industry folk... Happened with Morrissey last year and the Cure few years before that.. And Prince is obviously bigger than both of them combined so this ain't looking good!!
sad

I will say, one concert in Auckland only at a small venue (ASB theatre), they said sales will be limited to 2 tickets per person, however I will aim to go to both shows if there are.

.

All my NZ fans, love a meet up b4 or after show, we should plan 1. Any Kiwi fans want to flop free on a blow up mattress is more that welcome at my place.

.

Really feeling sorry for Naz and Marti who are south island fans and now have to factor Air NZ for their costs. If they want I could buy a spare ticket and sell it to them if they want.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

I picked up cheap flights an hour ago, so I'm happy with the outlay.

Now I'm sick with worry about those tickets.

I live in Brisbane, and will be working in Adelaide for those two weeks, and he is going to neither.

Melbourne will probably be too hard to get to midweek, while keeping normal work hours with a customer, so I'll have to investigate the outlay for a weekend in Sydney.

I'll probably be going by myself, so if I get two tickets, I'll let people know here.
