I didn't know he'd ever played a casino. Wow. News to me.

I was there and so was StillGotIt and Shorty... don't know if they are still here to contribute.

I was in the what LAST row up in the nosebleeds to the center? HA!! Center, but it was a small venue so it was still decent. I could make out Prince's facial features so it was OK. With his little self.

I would have enjoyed my concert however if I wasn't in the comapany of a total mental case. mad

1- NEVER bring a buddy who isn't a fan to a Prince concert sigh ... and lots of people at that concert were sloppy drunk where I sat, more were concerned themselves with getting boozed up than enjoying the music. Never seen anything like it. I honestly miss the days folks smoked weed at those venues.

2- Prince (what I could listen too) did lots of MJ music and soulful songs and slowed down his set for a while, creating a jazzy atmosphere. The folks around me were NOT happy about that, New Englanders only appreciate the rock/pop stuff. rolleyes

I did the BEST I could to ignore those around me and enjoy the show... I had my work cut out for me that night. :disgusted:

lol
Yeah I'd forgotten about your drunk friend. falloff

At the Sheila show on Friday there was this one drunk dude in the front that kept getting up and dancing - blocking the view of everyone else behind him. At one point he even got onstage, and Lynn Mabry had to escort him back off the stage.
disbelief

Drunk? I wish! She was a mental case! Crying, whining, bitching, complaining and then wanting to laugh... she bugged the heck out of everyone around her, had to switch seats so Stillgotit could enjoy the show.

It was a good show despie it. sigh

I had one of those experiences at the Tamar show in Houston. It was standing only, and I was right next to Prince's spot onstage. I told the couple next to me that if they'd hold my space, I'd buy them a drink. They said yes, and I did.

An hour later, after the girl going bonkers, the guy accused me of spiking her drink. It was kind of scary.

My first trip to vegas was 2 weeks after he left the rio, half the 3121 signage ws still up at the little restaurent around the bend he would play after the show.

Then again I also won 4K that night at the Rio, went to Penn & Teller in the 3rd row with a big gulp sized grey goose/redbull, then went to the Purple Reign show when it was free a the house of blues, and I got my fix. Purple Reign... go see them. Seriously.

Ahh, memories.

Sort of OT: I'm from NYC grew up in CT... Mohegan Sun, If you go, don't go to Bobby Flay's resturant, Go to the Bobbly Flay's BURGER BAR and prepare yourself. And take a pizza home from the name of the place I can't remember, but they are a famous New Haven pizza place very close to the burger bar inside mohegan.
