A gig not worth going to if you have seen any of the gigs since at least 2007.

And this russian paid for this setlist?! eek

Guitar was his most reent song!?!

What is the Prince man drinking or sniffing?

I mean: he acts like Planet Earth is his most recent album.

The way the Prince man neglects the rest of his catalogue is pure laziness and evil.

Of course some will argue: yes but this is not a regular tour gig but a private gig for making some fun. (or whatever) But does that mean the enwer songs are not suitable for this? Does that mean he did not posess the right writing skills anymore since 2007?

He could have played a few cover songs!

.

So the sighting is not important.

The way he continuously handles setlists is a reason for concern.

Yes the Prince man is evil. It is a real reason for concern.
I can't believe he played the hits at a private party and got paid a lot of money for it.

Yeah, he requested the hits plus "that U2 song".

And then Prince threw in 'Plectrum' so that people could go to the bathroom.

I don't recall him playing at millionair's private parties and weddings in the 1980s when he was actually touring behind his new albums. But people like the Udo man need to put things in perspective: terrorism and the refugee crisis and global warming are cause for concern. The set list of a concert we didn't even go to is not. wink

Yes, can't have the impression that this deeply religious JW is celebrating a pagan holiday, right?

Also, looking forward to the famz explaining why Prince does these kind of gigs when he's supposed to be super-wealthy.

Well, that's easy Bart: most big stars do it. As long as there are people with more money than sense, why not relieve them from a few million $$ for half a days work?

Good point but then again, most artists sold way more albums in those days and probably didn´t feel like needing the extra money. These days, even artists who are at the top of the charts often do private party gigs. I don´t mind that at all, in the end it´s just a business decision and if I were Prince I´d do the same instead of staying in snowy and cold Minnesota in December. lol

-

I understand why people find it hypocritical of him because JWs are not supposed to celebrate New Year´s Eve, but that is absolutely not my business and many other people, Christians, Muslims or Jews ignore their religion´s laws every now and then, so what?

-

And as far as I know, Prince has property on Turks and Caicos, so it makes sense to play in St.Barts if he´s there anyway. Must be nice to be able to spend the winter months elsewhere, where it´s warm and sunny. And to make some money on the side.

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Pfffft about all the moralizing re: Prince being only in it for the money/working on NY's eve as a JW/not playing more recent songs/wearing those shoes.

I don't care how old y'all are, you're still too young to be this dogmatic.

The owner of the corner store is Muslim, yeah he sells stuff prohibited by his religion. Lots of people identify as Catholics but use birth control --- gasp! And for a coll million or two, Prince didn't play the 10 minute plus version of The War. oh my god whattazellout!!!!

As for the damn shoes, if you require your pop stars to wear sensible shoes you really made a terrible choice by becoming a Prince fan. If there's one thing that was always an easy target in his act, it's the shoes.

Don't forget to drink plenty of warm milk before going to bed tonight.
