People who spent 20$ for a tour of Paisley Park were treated to 3 new songs from HITnRUN. No one has mentioned which tracks yet.

Prince has never played on a Friday night at PPAD, so last night should not be a surprise.

Prince has played many times on a Saturday night at PPAD, so decent chance he plays tonight.

If he does not play tonight, very good chance he closes the weekend Sunday night with a performance.

Are all parties held at PP now called "Paisley Park After Dark"? I thought the PPAD parties were a separate thing from Prince, but that he 'graciously allowed' the organizers of PPAD to have their parties and showcase other bands there. I thought I read that on their FB page.

Has Prince himself had a party at Paisley and called it a "Paisley Park After Dark" event? I don't recall that ever being so, but I could be wrong and just dont' remember or didn't see that he did.

And Prince really has never performed at a Friday night party? Thats...weird.

WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!! The album comes out on Monday, so just wait for that, plus that loud ass groupie that got a job parking cars is rude and obnoxious. She needs to b fired. Half the time you can't understand what she is screaming about, impolite and no class. Unless she is there for everyone to mock and make fun of!!!!

If she sticks around long enough, perhaps she'll move up to a paid position. smile I don't know this parking lot person you're talking about, but I do know another person who got a (paying) job at Paisley largely due to a combo of fanatic fandom, an amazing tenacity for trying to be hired at PP, as well as also having an obnoxious personality, which it appears helps in getting hired out there!

I didn't want to contradict cwemby because I don't have exact dates of....anything...at my fingertips and didn't care to go researching, but I have been to a number of PP parties (although, long ago) and it seemed to me Prince did indeed perform on Friday nights. Then again, like I said, I can't back that up with definitive proof and i'm often wrong about stuff, which is why I presented my confusion as a question. But yeah, I found it difficult to believe he'd never performed on a Friday night before, so thanks for the info re: a date that he did. smile

If you read my post it clearly says he has not played on a Friday night at a PPAD event. I stand by that 100%.

I never said he has not played EVER on a Friday night. What happened 20 years ago is not important in the world of Prince.

But this three-day event is technically not a "Paisley Park After Dark" organized event, is it? I'm still not clear on that and like I said, it was my understanding that PPAD events were put on by a separate group of people (sometimes with Prince's direct involvement, sometimes not) So Prince not ever performing at a Friday night PPAD event isn't relevent, really, to what is going on out there this weekend, that's all I was saying.

I haven't been there for a long time so if anyone can answer these questions that would be great:

How much is the pop or water?

Can you leave and come back in? For example if you needed to go back to your car.

Will they check your phone in for you? or do you have to bring it back to your car if they don't let you bring it in.

Water $2.

The $20 extra for tour was worth it even if you seen before.

Phones were allowed but someone got caught recording and they got booted.

Some old school fans but lots of kids.

The lady directing parking is funny. She would order people to park exact. She actually is a nice lady, I seen her inside and she was polite but PP is strict.

Prince called in on telephone during Studio tour.

The tracks played were from the start of the album and "Shut it down" is ace. Million dollar show was played but I like Shut better.
Josh did a great job with the tour. Donna played a solo.

Lots of open space. Far from capacity

They are selling shirts $30.

If phones are not allowed its a good indication Prince may play. I don't believe it will happen but maybe Sunday! They have plain dressed workers scouting areas so if you do decide to record watch your ass.

Donna, Hannah and Josh were super nice and accommodating. Possibly the tour will change night to night. PP may someday reopen for outsiders to record. Someday.

The new songs are high energy and imo its worth the $20 to hear then in the studio.

Typically there is no reentry.

Regarding what nights Prince plays...yes,in the 90s it was virtually always on Friday night. Lately the parties have been on Saturday night. If we know anything about Prince, he will do what he wants when he wants. Nothing else. I also agree with a previous post...go expecting nothing and anything will be good. You have to be OK with paying $40 and not seeing him perform. If you are not OK with that, I suggest you stay home...just my $0.02.

Tons of 3eg shirt, couple 3121 shirts, gett off vinyl, shhh vinyl, Hawaiian book box w controversy single $50. Recent poster of Prince holding symbol guitar, program can't remember exact but npg music club. Some various hats. Shirts were mostly in smaller sizes. I guess nothing too jaw dropping.

The flier I saw didn't have that at the top. I looked elsewhere at another flier and saw that it does indeed say that, something I never disputed, btw...but was confused about, which was WHY I was asking if all events at Paisley are now called "PPAD". I do distinctly recall reading that the people putting together the PPAD events (at least at the beginning of them) were not directly working "for" Prince but rather he was allowing them to use Paisley to put on these parties/events - I even remember they stopped for awhile, and the organizers made an announcement about it. So please forgive me for trying to clarify things, and thank you for answering my questions and engaging with me in such a friendly, kind, and totally NOT superior or snotty way! lol LOVE4ONEANOTHER!

On the last tour I to think only two played. They played a basic track of Prince creating an idea, vocally and that was different. I was impressed with Josh. Very knowledgeable.
