I've been reading non members had to pay $50 I did not.. After parking side street and waiting I just decided to walk up, the parking girl was busy screaming at somebody as usual (those who go there know who am referring to lol) and I went in in the midst of peeps from the buses just like Motherfunka did... and asked how much they said $20 paid and got in...

I don't know if anyone actually did have to pay $50, I sure hope not wink

I really like Shut this down, it's a great club vibe song to dance to... I was hoping to hear new stuff but hey it was still nice to get those... Now I do wish they'd pplayed more Prince songs What the duck, a Prince dance party and the dj ony played 2 P songs... lol lol lol

This is just like the terrible Yahoo live stream and the weaksauce shitshow that was Baltimore: another boneheaded missed opportunity from Prince. He brings all those journalists out there and charges them $20 for what? To be graced by his presence? To enjoy paying for water at Paisley Park? Look, the Park isn't that cool. Most people who aren't Prince nuts like me don't get blown away just by being there.

Especially at a time when issues facing African-Americans are front and center in the news, Prince dropped the ball on this one. Think of all the things he could have said and done. Nope. Just please give me money and give Jay Z money so I can make more money. Sheesh.

Agreed. And... I was thinking about the last year or two in music for me. I saw so many funk, jazz, and R&B shows that were awesome. Chaka, Bootsy, George Clinton, Stevie Wonder, Ramsey Lewis, Ramsey Lewis with Phillip Bailey, Lauryn Hill, Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea, Family Stone (without Sly), Pharoah Sanders, Stanley Jordan, and most recently Maceo with Greg Boyer for six shows (and 5 more last year).

All of them seemed excited to perform and it was great. I would much rather give these people my money and go have fun. Dont get me wrong, I enjoyed seeing three LOL shows a couple years ago.... But life's too short to deal with this nonsense. There are so many talented artists who make it easy to go see and hear them do their thing. For me, it's too annoying to deal with people who make it difficult, even if it is Prince.

Wow, how exciting. A trip to magical purple fairy land! And they had the honor of paying for it! Neato!

yes, she's yelled at me too! lol but i understand her stress and sympathize. imo she really helps organize the parking lot situation and whoever she is i think we owe her a little gratitude. imagine having to maintain order out of a bunch of wacky late-night prince fans all driving up uninvited and determined to somehow get into paisley park as soon as possible wink she manages to keep the crowd organized and every little bit helps.

I disagree, even when she was working inside PP she would flashlight peeps right in the face, yell all the time in a really unprofessional manner. All the other bouncers and staff manage to keep the parties and parking running smoothly yet remaining polite and professional as well as pleasant to deal with...

I don't think I owe a thing to someone who feels that it's ok to treat people like cattle! lol

Well the thing is, she IS one of those late-night wacky fans. I'll just leave it at that.
