Shortest tour ever

2 Nights, 4 shows, 1 city.....Now he's back home in Minnesota promoting another chick none of the few real fans he has left even cares about....Why Prince???? He pulled a similar stunt in 2009 with Lotusflower. 3 shows, 1 City (LA) 1 night. The only difference is that at least this time he didn't set up a bogus website and steal $77 from his fans.

Judith Hill is a fantastic Prince produced CD !!

I AM LOOKING FOR USED PRINCE CONCERT TICKETS ... https://www.facebook.com/...erttickets

I'm a diehard Prince fan and probably will always be, but it's this kind of nonsense over the years that has caused the casual fan and some hardcore fans to just forget about Prince. His camp, whoever they may be, puts out a press release about a tour, begins the tour with four shows, and then nothing. No new dates, no new cities, no presales, nothing.... Those of us who have followed him for years know there may be some more shows or there may not be. It's just like his press release regarding the remaster of Purple Rain. There were many of us on the org who knew this was some BS and would never happen. Prince has always been a different dude, but over the past few years his antics have become annoying as hell. Most bands or performers would have done this: release one album, release the PR remaster on time, promote both, announce a tour, presale the tickets, go on tour, and reap the benefits of all the above. I'll ask again.....What happen to Prince? I really miss him and wish he would come back. Things looked so promising after his super successful Musicology Tour. However, things have been real sloppy since then and very very disappointing.

You had me laughing with "camp." There is no camp. Prince does it all himself. His "manager," if you call her that...is somebody he found on Twitter who is like 22, and plays with her phone all day. No real management experience. There is a reason he is playing 2,000 seat places when he could easily play 17,000 seat places. He's Batshit crazy...he has no real organization or "Camp." He hired real

pepople to help with Musicology...but since about 1999 there has been no "Camp." Remember in 2001 at the Celebration, where one of the larger offices was "Larry Graham's Office?" There was a computer in there that he probably didn't really know how to use...and what "official business" was Larry doing?

Don't expect more than 8-10 cities on the tour. Prince has no interest in a long tour schedule.

"and when Prince resumes his "Hit And Run" tour in April, Hill will be his opening act"

Quote above from Funkenberry (bold is my addition). Looks like there will be more announcements soon but how will Judith Hill supporting affect the set list? It could make the length of P's shows a little shorter, but actually I think that as long as Hill gets a good reaction from the crowd then it might just put a bit of renewed vigour into Prince retying out more of his new stuff on the crowd. I live in hope!

Well that was predictable. They put the tour on hold so they could rehearse with this Judith Hill character then drag her around everywhere and put the audience to sleep. Oh well, maybe he might mix it up with the sampler set. I doubt it.

No one goes to a Prince show and gives a hoot about the upstarts he drags out every year. Prince's glory days of great protégés died in the 80's. Since then it's just been chicks he's banging or a few r&b chicks who disappear as quickly as they appeared. I just saw Death Cab For Cutie do an in-store appearance out here in LA at a record store called Amoeba on the day of the release of their new cd. They played about 6 new songs and one classic. They also signed vinyl and cd covers for fans. Now they are going on tour. Their tour dates are on Ticketmaster and tickets are available. I bought the cd, saw them perform, got signed merchandise, and bought tickets to their upcoming show. Everything was so simple. Why does Prince make everything such a chore for his fans? It gets tiring and annoying. If Prince hasn't figured it out yet, our music budgets can go to other deserving artists. .....artists who actually like and appreciate their fan base. C'mon Prince enough with the BS. We love you, but how about showing us some love too!!!!!

I wouldn't waste time or money on aftershows. I went to the last aftershow during his recent Chicago residence, dude came out 2 hours late and did Housequake then gave the rest of the stage time to Andy Allo and Janelle Monae.

The @PURPLESSENCE Twitter account (did we ever definitively identify that one as official? it certainly implies it in its Twitter profile description) just posted that Prince and 3EG are currently rehearsing at PP, shows begin again in April, possible support slot for Judith Hill.

Just somewhere in the middle,

You need help with your math. Doing 5000 seats at $250.00 to $850.00 he is making the same money without the risk and demanding schudules. As long as people are paying to see these shows he going to keep doing them and you need to get over it

You are delusional if you think that by doing these little shows, P is making the kind of money he was making on, say, the Musicology tour.

I don't think he needs any more money.

I saw him on his last tour, in San Francisco. I happily shelled out $250, and got to stand 15 feet away from him, actually make eye contact with him, and felt more connected to him, his fans, and his body of work than at any of the arena shows I've been to (and there have been many, since the 80s). And he didn't play one hit, and I didn't give a shit. He was there, WITH us, not just FOR us.

I think he wants to have his legacy reflected back at him. He wants to see and feel his audience and the impact he has had, and still has, with his music.

I'm not saying I like this "last minute, catch it if you can" way of selling tickets, and I'm sad that most people (including myself--I went into debt to go to the show) can't afford to see him now...I'm just saying that he has put in his time slaving for record companies AND giant, arena-filling tours and has earned the right--and the money--to be able to have a more intimate connection with those of us who are lucky enough to be there.

Just my $.02. smile

You need help with your math. If you looked at the actual statistics of the 2013-14 shows, you would seethat there were tons of shows where tickets were either deeply discounted, or given away

for free. When you put tickets on sale 48 hours before a show, you alienate people that have these

strange weird things Prince knows little about called "Jobs." He has a complete lack of respect

for fans that want to plan a trip to see him from 400 miles away, or even in the same town

who can't take a day off without going through a ton of red tape.

So you are saying that he has no respect for a very small minority of his fanbase? I notice that all of these shows are getting publicity, something that a regular tour does not do after the opening night. The shows seem to be selling out so I guess he knows what he is doing, huh? All I can say is that some of his fans who post on here have to be the whiniest fans out there.

I think the Prince under contract was a more fan friendly Prince because of the label. Without a label it has been hit or miss. And now it seems like it is just Prince, the dude trying to run things on his own because he is rich as fuck and doesn't give a fuck. So that might look a little strange to people but so what. I once paid money for a ticket and he cancelled the show, but I knew he was in the next room. He just changed his mind. At that moment I realized that he just kind of does what he wants. Maybe he makes enemies that way. Who cares!!!!
