Prince @ Pinkpop?

Rumours are going that Prince might perform on monday (10 june) at the Pinkpop festival in my hometown, Landgraaf. The Dutch artist Jett Rebel is scheduled to play on monday. He's got a phonecall earlier today from one of the Netherlands best known radio DJ's Giel Beelen from the station 3FM (who sponsor Pinkpop) if he'd mind if Larry Grayham would join him on stage. At the end of the phonecall he indicated that he (Jett Rebel) might be in for a big surprise as there would be a chance that another big artist, an idol of Jett, might join him as well. Jett Rebel recently covered Purple Rain as a tribute, in one of the most viewed talkshows on Dutch TV; De Wereld Draait Door. eek

The question is why would Prince go on stage with an impersonator (pretty good one though) at the biggest festival in the Netherlands that is broadcasted on TV?

Mind you, Giel Beelen started rumours that an aftershow on 28 November 2010 would take place in Paradiso and a try-out for the NSJ in 2011, also in Paradiso.

He had never any solid information about Prince except that we already knew too because it was already announced by Mojo.

So don't get your hopes up high on this smile
