Interesting. It would really have to be announced soon to give it a fighting chance to sell out. Hope the rumour is true though.

Wembley Arena would sell out fast...

If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

Moderators should know not to post misleading threads with no sources. no no no!
Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

Well it wouldn't be the Stadium as England are playing Peru that evening in their last home match before the world cup. I hope it's not the Arena. Don't want to go to wembley the same night as a sell out footie match.

I don't think events at the arena are on when Footy is on at the stadium. I'm not 100% on that though.

Yeah, you have a point about them not allowing two events at once, if the footy is near to sold out its 70-80k plus isnt it? The council woudlnt allow them both to have events on because of the strain on public transport and getting people home safely.

I would play P in the number 10 role ? he could create alot of chances for Wazza and Sturridge ?

I went to a gig last month, same day as FA Cup semi final. The match went to extra time and penalties so finished around 7.30. There didn't seem to be a problem with overcrowding, no more than normal in London lol. In fact it looked like some fans had left the Stadium after the match and gone straight in to the arena to see the concert, making a whole afternoon and evening of it.

The more I think about it the more I dont think it will be next friday, If Wembely have the Weigh in booked in for the boxing, This will have been contracted to Eddie hearn for hire, if they pushed that out they would be in breach of contract.

Can we at least amend the title to indicate speculation rather than fact? Got very excited upon seeing the news.

I can remember going to see him at the Arena back in the day when the Rolling Stones were on at the same time. Experienced the same crush getting out as when I was stood outside Electric Ballroom. That was the old stadium mind you.

.

Its 8pm kick off this time so more to do with Public transport being limited in the evening, The Boxing next saturday at the stadium had to hold back about 25k of tickets to for a couple of month until they got the go ahead fromt the council that suitable arrangements had been made for crowd control and to ensure people get home safely.

Yep, the only place reporting it is The Sun, which isnt a great source, no where else other than on ESPN under the Froch Fight news, and even that is just quoting the Sun.

.

When the news dropped about these ones it was in the paper first thing then all over everywhere else, like it was a press release.

It had better NOT be 1st June as I'm seeing Gary Clark Jr. at Shepherd's Bush that night. Also I got a fresh manicure yesterday and have bright purple gel nails so it'll be nice if that will last before the show biggrin

Unless they're all just repeating from the same rumour? Seems too short notice to do Wembley arena but I guess it's Prince and anything is possible.
