$20 for The LA shows at the Forum. $30 for the right to buy food and soda at Paisley. Makes perfect sense in the Prince world. $30 covering both nights or $20 for one might at least be more fair, but with all things considered, a full DVD showing of Montreux or something unreleased would make it worth it...but as these have been, I would never go.

2nd time at Paisley in a week and no Purple one. They must have gotten a deal on bottled water this week: $1 vs. $3 dollars last week....hmm. Completely on the fence about driving the 3 hours up there again tonight. I just don't know if I'm that crazy.

On a side note Hannah is an absolute sweetheart. I got to talk to her a bit at the movie theater and she is every bit as genuine as what you see on stage. Nice to know there are good people out there in the entertainment industry.

some of you sound so incredibly ungrateful, I mean complaining about the cost of a bottle of water (umm bring your own aint it free at home??? i'm sure you have a plastic bottle to repurpose) when he's spent money to shuttle you there and pay a DJ and staff to entertain and look over you at his personal compound, I mean really?? chatterbox

I hope everyone attending tonight has a blast!!!!!!!! thumbs up!

I was there and have a right to my opinions. It's easy for a bystander to judge and I could care less what you think. Prince may not owe me anything but I also don't owe him a thing either. He has gotten my money 5 times since October.

He could easily prevent anyone from becoming disgruntled by accurately announcing whether or not he will play a show, and if not, who will be playing, etc. It's not really that difficult. I've been to Paisley for a "dance party" where it was strongly hinted he would perform, and he did not...and it was incredibly disappointing. So I get it. (But hey, at least he was sitting on a barstool looking uncomfortable all night).

No one put a gun to your head and forced you to attend. its an opportunity to hang out with other prince fans at his compound, bond and create some memorable experiences and friendships, maybe he's not feeling well and needs rest but still wants to do something special for his fans or is around but isnt feeling the vibe regardless whatever the reason for the no show, just be grateful, these type of events are what you the fans/army make it, IMHO its alot to b!tch about over $30 bucks. Paisley Park after dark isnt billed as a concert in which you know you are paying for a Prince performance, its a party, the flyer clearly states YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN ( OR might NOT happen) . Of course you have a right to voice your opinion but understand what you are paying for. its good to hear you had a memorable experience out of it, I get your disappointment but A EVENT is better than NO EVENT.

Doesn't matter, people are in the halls of PP bitchin about the price of water.
Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

Hoodies and pleather jackets, so the merchandise is finally happening!

Was it the remixed Superconductor?

The DJ also played studio versions of The Unexpected (or is it Wow?) before the show, and after the show Funknroll, and a remix of Pretzelbodylogic.

"Paisley Park, every weekend through eternity"

and "see you all next weekend"--

this could be the start of a wonderful (and a little spendy) spring in Chanhassen...

Before a 20 min. encore of FunkNRoll, Prince ran a vintage YouTube clip on the screens and was laughing at it from the stage door- search "Petey Greene watermelon" and you'll see it

Wow, how amazing would that be, assuming there is a 3EG concert to go with it, or the full showing of Montreux
