He ended the second show around 2:54, so I'm doubting he is doing more tonight. I heard rumblings about him possibly playing Berkeley this weekend, so keep an eye to the forums.

Hanging out, or did he do a few songs/another set?

Just saw this tweet:

6h

Guess who took over the Boom Boom Room from 2 til 6am ? Prince. That's right!! Prince and his whole entourage were here!!!!

It sounds like he was hanging out, but I'd love to know if he performed/DJ'd.

Yeah, it's a cool spot. I wish I'd thought to roll over there. I actually dropped by after one of the Oakland dates as I had a feeling they might perform there. Didn't happen, but a fun show was going down.

And yes, very close to The Fillmore - basically across the street.

I overheard an individual who appeared to be working the show in some capacity mention the possibility of a weekend show in Berkeley while speaking with someone. I'm wondering if it ties in to him commenting from the stage that they're going to have to take this act to the Coliseum. I know that would suggest Oakland, but maybe they have something else in mind. Or maybe the person meant Oakland. It's possible there's absolutely nothing to it as well.

Interesting, thanks. Time will tell....

I met someone at the Fox show who also works there as an usher (he was attending). Apparently his 'boss' had emailed the ushers the day before the show to find out their availability on the Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday night. We all know how that feel apart.... Here's hoping for a last bite at the cherry. Berkeley would be tought though....there isn't exactly an abundance of (indoor) venues.

Cheers.

The Boom Boom Room is an awesome little club. There's not a whole lot of space, but they reserve the best table for John Lee Hooker (or possibly Prince if he shows up?)

That's what is so cool. They keep a candle burning and the booth is empty. Of course when I played there there was not a whole lot of demand for the extra seats lol

You mean Berkeley Rep? I used to work there and know everyone who works there now. That would be insane. But there's not much dancing room. I'm going to put my friend there on high alert, although it's probably a pipe dream by now.
