Great that he squeezed in the obscure 1980 outtake "Oh My Brain Is Mush". I've always loved the Latvian nose flute solo on the studio version.

On a serious point, that set list looks amazing. I'm jealous of anyone who caught that show.

The Max was a treat. Cause and Effect better than the studio version. The highlight for me was Dancing Close and Slow. Beautiful moment. A treasured memory. Annabelle was surprised to hear so many 80s numbers. She's not the fan either.
I'm sure I'll go before him but if not a huge part of me will go when he does. He's my real, live Santa and I'm still a seven year old boy sad

So. A couple of last thoughts. Highlights for me were - starfish and coffee, alphabet street! housequake, cool, when we're dancing. Was about 4 rows back having been number 80, and near the middle. Being the same height as Prince it was fantastic for once to be in an enclave of fellow shorties without fat Peter Crouches getting in the way - I know people can't help being tall, but it's still a bugger.

The only thing I want to ask at this moment is during when we're dancing, when it was quieter and he was going really soft did it sound like there were loads if people talking, that gradually got louder - like u might get with a shit band in a bar - really love that song but that sorta would it a bit and I was thinking what the fuck must Prince be thinking about that.

Any way still on a purple high! Hope everyone else is buzzing to fuck. Oh, and endorphinmachine Defoe got played. Peace out brothers and sisters. Mikey

he did sometimes it snows in april on the piano.

This is getting ridiculous - as though these shows weren't already insanely great, now he's doing some stuff from my favourite album, that perhaps wasn't best suited to 3EG.

So hope Brixton happens, we can make it over, and we get a similarly epic set.

Did anyone misinterpret what he meant when he "We're gonna take a short break, get the album out but we'll be back"?
I thought he literally meant it was gonna be on the merchandise desk!!! sad

One of the best nights of my life. I've seen him 8 times but To see him up close (I was about 10 deep from his mic) was just unbelievable. I just stood there for 3 hours with a big stupid grin.
.
He's been accused by some of going thru the motions for a while but now he's totally energised and on top form. Having these young people around must keep him young and inspire him to mentor them
.
Great mixed set list with old classics and new stuff. But even the old classics sound fresh (even Take Me With U). Lots of highlights but I loved The Max and the new version of Something In The Water.
.
And how hot is Hannah. What was the song her and her husband danced to at the end?
The remix of Pretzel was good, probably better than the original

Conscious contact - my phone always autocorrects that way, I just let it do it's thing now - it got into footy in 1991 poor thing when spurs last did something…

Was it just snippets of cherry moon and close and slow on the keyboard set? This gig does sound amazing, jealous.

close and show was full band full song, and i was in the pit in front of the stage when he played that, just a few songs in, not part of the piano set. UTCM and snows were instrumental, maybe 2 mins each

stop this train was the new song at the end that hannah mimed and danced to with josh. princes vocal version of unexpected was played at the start (the song he wrote for liv), and it seems to be a different recording, not just different vocals, but similar instrumentation to liv's version. her album wasn't played at the start last night like the previous night and i think one or two other nights like kokos, but it's a great album and worth getting

I still say he was going thought the motions at he first KOKO show but I think that was mainly because he had his eye firmly on the $$$ of 3 shows. He just did he standard set list that all of these shows have had and none if the rarities - UTCM,sometimes it snows, how come u don't call me, the beautiful ones, chaos and disorder,TMBGITW,D&P...u name it, it was missing from that 90 min set. We only got SOTT and when doves cry after literally refusing to leave
