koko have just posted this on FB - Prince is playing 3 shows at KOKO tonight. Doors for the first show are at 6pm. If you don't get into the first show you are welcome to queue for the next one. Note: we are not able to answer any further questions about door times etc. as these are to be confirmed.

It's official. Now bored to all hell with the Refresh Game. Good Luck all of you still in the game, I'm going out on me bike to enjoy the sun and lack or rain and wind. Not doing the Devon to London sprint without a ticket. #NotAsHardcoreAsIwas

Regardless of whether he is doing 3 shows, 5 shows or 10 shows tonight surely it cannot be right that people in the 21st century are queuing between 10 and 14 hours on the street to get into a concert.

.

You can dress it up whatever you like, that is not fair on the fans. I think its shocking to be honest.

THREE shows? Damn, now I really wish I didn't have to work tonight:(

I shall look forward to reading all it about it... he seems to be having a great time with 3rdEyeGirl, I am guessing everyone there tonight will be in for a treat (or more than one treat, if the queue isn't that long when you come back out! biggrin)

could be expensive for more than 1 show .... £10 or £70 makes a big difference, I think it will be £10 as they know people will come back in. I presume you come out of show and join the queue at the back? I can't see people being allowed to stay in.

No, they'll clear everyone out, but I would have throught there would be a good chance those in the first show could catch the third.

Its slowed down. No surprise. I wouldn't be surprised if there is an undersell tonight. £10 looming.

That's what's puzzling me at the moment....two shows yes, but three? How will he manage that?

/

First show 7.00 to 8.30, second 9.00 to 10.30....and the third? And that's working on the basis of a quick turnaround for getting folks in and out...

That BizzNizz guy tweeted it was an 11pm curfew, which is pretty normal for a Sunday. Fingers crossed they've got an extension or it's short sets

I have been trying to get my head around that one as well, although, if the queue was big enough by mid afternoon, they may open the doors at 4pm, for the first gig.

If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

Yeah, doesn't add up unless shorter sets, I can't see him being allowed a late gig Sunday night due to curfews etc, I was at Hammersmith last Sunday and that ended 10:45pm. I would have expecter 2 sets, he could have done that with 2 hour sets.

Also 3 * 90 minute sets is a long night, 4.5 hours for the band, unless he does a different set like an accoustic?

Don't think they will anywhere near that long. If its pay on the door, it will take a minimum of 30 mins to get everyone on. At turn around, they've also got to get everyone out.

Can't see the shows being more than an hour. Unless he has managed an extension. On a Sunday night.

That's fine if its £10, good price even for an hour of Prince (though the poor fans who got in the queue at 10.00 might be p*ssed...that sort of dedication deserves an epic show!). But are they advertising £70 tickets still? If so, that's steep for just 60 mins.

/

And even with 60mins shows, the turnaround of fans is going to have to run like a military operation to fit it in by curfew....and the management of this tour has been by far the weakest point thus far....

IF he does 1h show: 1-6.30/7.30... 2-8/9...3-9.30/10.30...curfew at 11. That could work?

Was going to drive down from sheffield today. So glad i didnt now. Iwas hoping for a shepherds bush type of length of concert. Even if you get into another, I would rather pay a decent amount and have a full 2 hour show. Manchester for me now, alot closer and even if its two shows, you might get in them both!

I can't see them announcing 3 gigs without an extension, otherwise he could have done 2 gigs starting 6-8, 9-11.

Unless they are £10, so expecting people to be happy with a 1hr set and requeue for another afterwards, so you see a 3hr show in 3 sets at £10 each, his first encore at Hammersmith was about after 75mins, so maybe instead of encores they switch the crowd lol

Maybe, the band aren't gonna play 3 * 2+hr sets in a day, he's already got gigs planned for later in week, his voice would be f*cked, unless Shelby and Larry are turning up for a set each lol

and to get previous crowd out/clear up, safety checks etc

I'm waiting for Manchester, I live here, so gonna take Friday off work and get ready to queue, this doesn't feel like the SHpeherds bush gigs, feels like they are packing the gigs in to give eveyone a chance to attend with 3 gigs with notice so people can queue and get in, maybe its in preperation to move out of London so give the London fans a chance before they play gigs outside London like Manchester? and the specualtion just keeps going on smile
