Bring Prince to Leeds Facebook group - MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

Hi to everyone outside of London,

Who wants Prince to come further north making it easier for fans to see him?

You know what to do...like the group on Facebook. Link below.

Good on you for trying Dan. I'd drive up from Cambridge for a show if he would do The Cockpit!

Yes, I've heard great reports and would be perfect for a Prince & 3rdeyegirl gig that can please everyone! Great acoustics too! See below.

http://www.firstdirectare...ing-plans/

How big is the arena?
Leeds first direct arena facts

Up to 13,500 capacity
5.1 acre site
The Leeds first direct Arena has the United Kingdom’s first purpose built fan-shape arena design with a contemporary and innovative layout where all seats face the performance area. Whereas traditional arenas have four sides of seating around a ice hockey rink, the Leeds first direct arena will have one large super-theatre seating bowl that fans out from the stage.

This design offers:

every visitor faces the stage regardless of the seat location
a maximum distance from centre stage of 68 meters as opposed to 95-130 meters at traditional Arena’s
the best acoustic experience of any large arena venue in the country

He's already said he's not going to do arenas. Biggest will be I reckon 2000 - 3000, Hammersmith size.

Great view of the stage from every seat in the arena. Would still prefer the Academy confused

The arena would be incredible with the NPG, not so much with 3rdEyeGirl.

O2 Academy would be great, The Cockpit would be amazing.. Brudenell Social Club, anyone?!

Jesus, could you imagine Prince at Brudenell? I can't think of anything better.

Leeds is definitely an improvement on London (in general, too) but it would still need to be ticketed to give those of us from further afield a chance.

He should think about playing here - exactly the kind of venue he's looking for.

Of course. Even those of us in Leeds would want it properly ticketed lol
