SERIOUSLY UNHAPPY & ANGRY!!!

So we were told that it would be a "tour" in and around London which is fine as long as dates are annnounced in time for people to make the necesssary arrrangements. What we are seeing so far is a series of impromto gigs which are great for people living in or around London and have no commitments but if you don't live in London, have a job and family then you've got no chance!!sad

Is it too much to ask to have a series of gigs announced with an on-line ticket sale so at least you've got a chance of getting a ticket?!

This reminds me of the aftershows that would just be announced and everyone would make a mad dash to the venue in the hope of getting in!!

So please whoever is responsible for these gigs take into account that not everyone can travel down to London at the drop of a hat and just give us some notice!!!

I haven't missed a tour since 1986 and don't want to miss this one so come on give the rest of us a chance!!!!!

I think this is a Publicity Stunt.

He doesnt want to announce gigs that dont sell out, but now when he announces concerts in and around London, it wil be hard to get a ticket as they will sell so quick.

I hope this is right!

I need to plan a babysitter and stuff - we're all more grown up now than in the olden days of Prince tours.

FINGERS CROSSED!

Have you had your + signs today?

Judging off the two nights just gone, the venue was only asked to do it on Tuesday 2pm for the same night, if this is going to be the case for more of them the online ticket may not work, unless they just did it as a general thing on the dates they were holding events and just had the venue TBC and sold say 500 or so tickets like that "early bird" type thing, all they'd need to do then is say venue will be announced on the day across twitter.

It's stupid, im in the same boat in Manchester, need to give a weeks notice for time off work and arrange travel/hotels. His management the way they have handled it they have Isolated his fans around the country really and primarilly aimed it at London peeps sad

Lets hope they announce something soon, or maybe they could have a nother press announcment where they dont actually reveal anything again and instead tell us what Prince has been having for his Dinner while he has been in the UK.

Personally, I feel, he is just testing the waters and gauging to see how popular he still is in the UK after such a long absense from these shores!! Once he "gets the numbers in", so to speak, from attendance figures of these club gigs, then he will probably announce a proper "tour"!!

nonsense...he sold over 400,000 tickets for the o2 arena in 2007...he could easily sell out any arena in the country for numerous nights...he is doing small gigs because he wants to..he will do bigger gigs and sell tickets for them in the next few weeks..

Thats what I mean, not counting Hop Farm, its been 7 LONG YEARS since he has last done proper concerts here!! In the years between 2007 and 2014 he has been everywhere, even Dubai and Australia, BUT here!!

This is just about playing quick easy gigs and rockin out the tracks, I'm as disappointed as you as I am in Manchester and cannot get down there at short notice. If he plays a big show he needs lighting, bespoke stages, choreography, dancers, weeks of rehearsals, lots of technicians, crew staff. These gigs are just about him picking up his guitar and being on stage in a paired down band and playing the music.

Hopefully he will come back later in the year and play some big venues when you will get all of the above, but I'd love to see one of these stripped down shows where he just does the music without any gimmicks.

Anyone else just want a Welcome2Britain arena tour?! The Welcome2America/Canada/Australia tours looked amazing! Where are our shows?! I know the 2007 O2 shows were similar in nature, but still.. London only.

Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield, Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow.. they all have fantastic arenas that he could easily sell out. He'd most likely have the most popular and most successful UK tour of the year.

My concern is not the size of the venue it's what appears to be a lack of planning. Believe this kind of setting is every Prince fans dream but why not announce a series of shows at say Brixton Academy or Royal Albert Hall?? 2 shows a night for a week or two and problem solved!

I live in Houston, Texas. The last time Prince played in Houston, Texas was 2004. How many times has he played in London since then?

Please quit whining.

HERE HERE !!! . . . at least give fans the chance to buy tickets online and to make at least 2 days planning. It is the 21st century FFS and you have people queing in the rain for 6 hours and not guaranteed entry

Kiran sharma has got the publicity and all the right people to be mentioned at his two shows. However if Prince says he cars about his fans why does he forget us who have been supporting and spending thousands of pounds sometimes to see him in other countries, I'm quite upset as like most of you guys I've been waiting for tickets/ venues to plan. Also I would prefer to see him live in a smaller venue.
If I was managing Prince and he was not concerned about making huge profit !?
Kiran Sharma could easily have announced show in Camden on here first. Shame on those who treat us loyal fans like this. I've been to Rome, Dublin, Switzerland , USA and to all his concerts here in UK for the last 16 years!! I've taken my son who was 12,and he loved the concert in malahide.I was going to take my niece to London to see him and we both have been searching for tickets since Monday, gave up today sad(((

The 2 Welcome2America shows I saw were extremely underwhelming. Like a cover band version of the Musicology tour. Would love to see 3rdEyeGirl though, despite not loving their studio tracks.

You obviously did not see any W2A shows in NYC. The 3 that I saw were incredible! Just as good as the 4 Musicology shows that I saw.

No offense but you just don't get it. This is a protional tour. I really doubt he's playing any arenas. He hasn't played any arenas yet with this stripped down band. This is exactly what I figured it would be like. A Hit n Run Tour! You are mentioning Welcome2America and O2 shows? That was years ago. It's 2014! He doesn't even play with the same musicians anymore. You are living in the past. What's next, why isn't he playing with The Revolution?

he would easily fill venues of concerts like Welcome 2 America like shows and musicology but i surely hope he will not repeat those as we saw them at numerous tours...The concept of 3rd eye girl is great although i do think Prince should use some experience line up with the best musicians.

Prince doesn't need 2 go 2 other cities in the UK. He's popular enough that his fans will flock from all corners of the United Kingdom just 2 have a taste of them guitar solos! love If fans can't b arsed or can't stop their daily routine 4 a once in a lifetime musical experience, then it's their loss. some simply can't go, but stop moaning! Well...

I met quite a few people during that run who were with various large groups that got in for free.

Mainly Performing arts schools/Fashion students etc.. But the schools would be given 100's of free tickets to any show including the aftershows.

If he announced now for shows in June he would certainly sell out any large arena. Unfortunately the man has no patience, so is happy with a few 1000 who are available on 3hrs notice.

Exactly! Enough whining and complaining! The shows will sell out with or without you(or me). As I said on another thread, If you REALLY want to see Prince, you probably will. If you would just LIKE to see Prince, you probably will not. That's just the way it goes! If I were in or around London, I would somehow get to see Prince no matter what! Especially with 3rdEye Girl! But that's just me.

Yeah, but only if he announces far enough in advance! I love that Prince likes to do things his own way, but seriously, he's so inconvenient confused lol

There is a reason that EVERY OTHER ARTIST IN THE WORLD books proper shows, announces in advance, and sells tickets online.. because it WORKS. It makes sense! It's just stupid to try and do it any other way.
