yes the tix r apparently cheap BUT if theres no online sales it will be chaos + travel costs + hotel costs etc might be a nightmare with no guarentee of a ticket!!. I might give it a miss?! what are your thoughts?

Same. I'm not a massive distance outside of London, I live in Essex, so could drive there (no tubes available from where I live) but I'm going nowhere without a ticket. I'm too tired (after staying up last night waiting for info) to chance it. If tickets are released today and I get one, then I'll go but there's no way I'm going anywhere unless I know I'm going to get in when I get there. It's too painful to turn up, stand outside in the cold and rain, and then be turned away. I'm not doing it.

Planned on coming over from Ireland but the idea of going blind doesn't appeal to me so until some clarity happens I'll sit at home.

All I need is something solid...like a ticket for a start!!!

Same here. Just need one solid date and then we can fight over the flights. Considering just flying over blind some day next week and hoping for the best.

Why can't he just sell tickets? I am less than an hour from Camden but with no concrete information I am only slightly tempted.

He is Prince. Any further questions and the answer is 'because prince'

Nope, I'm in Southampton. Just can't do it without tickets during the week. It's possible I would consider it on a Saturday, Sunday to give me enough time to get there and queue but still unlikely.

I won't deny the potential cold wind and rain would put me off right now.

Just somewhere in the middle,

Still very frustrating though. This wouldn't happen with Bieber.

Only slightly tempted? The weather isn't that bad either. We Londoners are spoiled, I tell ye.

I'm only pissed that I can't ditch work early, plus my usual Prince fan friend/concert going buddy sounded less than enthused when I called her this morning. I got paid today too so ready to go nod

Wait 'til about midday....there's a hell of a weather front heading our way (I'm in Kent)...!

OK, I don't know how true this is but a contact of mine seems to think that "formal" gigs will start on 8th February and continue through to 16th February. If true then I expect proper ticket release instead of turning up at venues and taking your chances.

Damn life is complicated.

So I clear my work diary, postpone some shit to tomorrow, cancel the gym, consider the weather and what to wear.

Kids parents evening tonight :mad2:

My options are reduced to driving down at 7:30.....

I went last night. Probably only 150 people in the queue.
Tonight there will be 5000.
I would have to guess that it will be free again tonight.
Hence no internet sales

crazy situation..really can't justify going all that way & risk not getting a ticket. Would dearly love to see him at Ronnie Scotts though. Fingers crossed that Kiran talks some sense of fairness into him. BTW what do we think about the $10.00 ticket price..crazy..would have thought less capacity = more exclusivity = £100.00 p/ticket easily!!

Hi

Just read this on the time out page:

Early this morning, 3RDEYEGIRL tweeted a link to this YouTube video of the Electric Ballroom performance. It finishes with a web address leading to a timer, counting down the hours to tonight’s show. Scrolling down the page reveals small print reading ‘Wednesday 5th February, 19:00’. Details on how to get tickets are still sketchy, but if yesterday’s sparse crowd resembled a receding mullet, tonight’s will rival a sascrotch; demand for places will be higher than Mary Poppins’ kite.

If you do mauve fast enough to get a place, though, you’ll have the honour of seeing one of the most accomplished, intriguing and impactful musicians currently on this planet. Long may the purple reign. Alix Fox

UPDATE: we hear rumours that tickets for tonight at the Electric Ballroom are first come first served from 2pm!

http://now-here-this.time...in-camden/

In case you dont believe me.

If true. Can someone org me and buy me 2 tickets and I'll meet you there around 7.00?

He's only said 'he wants to' sell at $10, that doesn't mean they're actually going to...

I never usually say much on here but this is a joke!! I live 2 hours or so away and am still waiting ref tickets and then find out it's queue from 2 pm 4 tickets in London and in this weather! I didn't mind queueing when younger and I have never missed Prince when he comes over and always get 2 the 1st show and now after 25 years this happens! 4 once i am complaining and not happy! Prince this is not good!!

By the sounds of the bum-fight that's kicked off outside the Electric Ballroom tonight sounds like no one wanted to go to London and actually queue...apart from a small number of decent hearted people.

Welcome to the modern world of concert going... rolleyes

shit a brick....after reading squirrelmeats report I am sooooo bloody tempted. Will give it a few days to see if the buzz settles down a bit, bigger venues announed etc. However if it remains the same shambles then I'm staying put.
