PRINCE & 3RDEYEGIRL To Play Electric Ballroom 05/02/14 Tonight Wed!

Mods, just want to make sure this does not get lost in the UK Tour thread.

Prince and 3rd Eye Girl are playing a gig at the Electric Ballroom again tonight, Wed!

The announcement was made on YouTube and I know YT clips are forbidden here.

Here is DrFunkenberry's post about the show and info which has the YT clip:

Yes, according to this article posted in another thread, Prince himself says he's going to return to the Electric Ballroom Wednesday.

I hope more people will be able to go, and post a nice report here! I'm on the other side of the world from London, and would love to read some reports.

AGH. Bloody tube strike. I'm on an early shift at work today so can finish at 4pm. Might take me about 40 minutes to get to Camden as Northern line does appear to be working - bless the Northern line as they're in a different union to the others.

Need ticket details now.

Me neither. As much as I love Prince I'm not standing out in the cold and rain on the offchance I *might* get in, or might not. If tickets are released, I'm happy to buy one, if I'm lucky enough to be given the chance, but turning up hoping I'll get in with a big fat chance I won't, I'm not taking that chance.

10 years ago I'd have got the train down and waited outside the club in the hope. But now with a child in tow I'll hope another orger gets to the show and gives us a detailed breakdown of the set!

Anyone know how long the line is right now?

I'm 100 miles away. I want to come to London. I'm just wish we knew how to get a ticket. Do we just get in line?

I think prince is giving us all a lesson about the internet.how many people wanna moan about having to have tickets before they go somewhere these days.
Come on people its an old school album and he is using old school methods to promote it while at the same time letting us know the internet has made us all lazy.(myself included )lol
Does anyone remember not so so long ago having to queue outside a cinema the day a film was released?

Yeah, but this is the real world! Judging by the age range of most of Prince's fans, alot of us have jobs and family, we can't just up and go like that.

If that's his point then he's more out of touch than ever. Why we all want the convenience is because now most of us are in our 40's or later and have jobs and families to think about. There's few of us now that can drop everything to succumb to the purple pleasures. Not that it matters though, a venue that small could sell out many times over even at such short notice with such restrictions.

I remember maybe 25 years ago having to queue outside a cinema but not since mutli-plexes started opening. In fact, I've just checked and it was 1985 when a big one opened within travelling distance of where I was living then, so 29 years since queueing outside a cinema. I wasn't even a Prince fan then!

RIP sad

So wished I lived in London, well maybe not but for this week it would be pretty cool. Hope there is a chance of buying tickets, cause travelling from Glasgow just in hope of getting in doesn't sound too appealing, couldn't imagine not getting in, There would another riot on the streets of london if that happened lol I live in hope of a show at the barrowlands but am not holding my breath. Hope all that make it tonight have an amazing time! As if u won't
