Does he usually start his shows on time?

I'm going to my first Prince concert ever next week:-D , and I'd like to know from others who have seen him if they could tell me if he usually starts his shows on time or if he does diva shit like Madonna and comes on two hours late.

I'd just like to have an idea so I can plan accordingly.

Thanks!

Most of the times he is late.

I have been to over 20 shows and I can honestly say that I have only seen him be ON TIME at maybe 5 shows... NO LIE....

I was at the 5 Musicology shows in Chicago.. they were all around an hour late....

We always figure he is gonna be close to an hour late.. Lets hope he doesn't do like Madonna and come on nearly THREE hours late.....................

I have not known him to be terribly late - except for one on the Empire shows in Vegas when he had an equipment problem. They opened the doors very late (though I don't remember exactly how late) for that one. In fact, it caused a problem because he wanted to go on playing, but there was another late-night event happening there and they more or less kicked us out.

Other than that, I haven't known him to be more than a half hour late. In fact, I think everyone was surprised at the Paisley Park show in 2009 that he started more or less on time.

Given that he has afterjams scheduled for midnight all three nights, I can't imagine he's going to start very late. They're going to need at least a bit of a break between shows.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I've even seen him performing before sceduled time, starting 45minutes early.

Have a look at 'The W2A: Euro Tour Song Survey' http://prince.org/msg/12/362417

At North Sea Jazz last year the wait seemed endless. Lights went on and off four times with nothing happening. I can't even remember how long it took. But that one was supposed to take place in the middle on the night.. Usually it is not that bad. Let's just say he's more or less on time.
