Since when is it a given that Prince will play at the after party/afterjam? I caught two aftershows (Victoria and Seattle) on the Welcome 2 tour, and I felt blessed that he took the stage. I've been to plenty of Prince parties where he hasn't shown. At least you all weren't forced to watch Tag Team like we were at the Beautiful Experience masquerade ball in Chicago years ago.

This is why I opted not to go to Monday's aftershow. After seeing Andy's Facebook post about playing both Sunday and Monday at HOB, I figured that if anything Prince would let her play first and he might get up there for one or two songs. It just wasn't worth it to me. I have a ticket to Wednesday night's show, so I am hoping all of the kinks will be worked out by then.

I know everyone was disappointed not to see Prince, but no one has mentioned how Andy's set was. She only played People Pleaser at the Listening Party on Sunday. Did she play more songs from her album?

I believe she played a total of four songs.

It does take hours and hours to bring the equipment over and set it up. Nights at the Fillmore started just as late...however our SFPD did not curfew the shows smile They got it right over here..smart to wait till night 4 I say.! Good luck..Prince will be right back as always...ksdasky

HOB offers ticket trade-off

|

...

Late Tuesday afternoon, the House of Blues offered a trade-off instead: Anyone with a ticket from Monday night's After Jam can exchange it at the United Center box office, 1901 W. Madison, for a 300-level ticket to Prince's Wednesday night concert at the arena.

...

cool

In that case, it works better if there's an extra truck with equipment and an extra soundcrew for aftershows, already set-up before the main show in the stadium. Might cost more but saves much time and trouble in the end.

Are you able to go tonight with the free tickets they offered?

Nope. That's the thing. My only opportunity to go was Monday. So while I appreciated the gesture of offering free tickets, I can't even benefit from it.
