Well, I don't live in Canada or USA either. But don't you get an e-mail from Livenation with info on which time you get in etc?

Mostly Livenation send you an e-mail couple of days before with info about what time the doors open, etc.

I think with early access it's mostly something about an 1 hour or 30 minutes.. but I'm not sure. Otherwise if I were you I should e-mail Livenation.

Thanks a lot, I'll check that smile

I called Live Nation, and spoke to them about this, after I ordered my tickets. They told me that 5 days before the show you will receive an email with the itinary and contact person to meet at the venue. All info will be in the email.

The show was WONDERFUL, although shorter than the night before, I hear. Also, I saw a setlist from the night before, and I'd say the setlist for my show was at least 50% different! But he opened my show with 'Gold' (which he didn't play the night before), so I'm happy. smile

Also, I gotta say I'm sold on Shelby and Andy Allo. They come across as just lovely people. So do the other two backup singers.

Security were very nice, though we got a little speech on the way in about 'no cameras'. I guess they say that because pretty much everyone nowadays has cameras! People around me were snapping away like mad, and no one took issue with it.

As for trying to get closer to the floor, I didn't try that because I had my little boy with me. So, your mileage may vary! Where are you going to see him/them?

Aww, I'm just trying to picture it lol. I'm glad you had a good time biggrin Yea, I love Shelby and Andy they're both talented! That's good about the cameras biggrin Because if I go to one of his concerts this yr, if he travels here I'm going to go nuts with the pictures!

I'm just waiting for him to announce more dates at my end of the world! I live on the East coast (Boston). So if he does you can definitely count on me buying a V.I.P. table. But I have a question for the tables, do you know if they had a good view? Cause I think I remember hearing that someone said they could barely see him because the stage was so tall confused

Interesting vantage point! I had wondered/worried with you on how the view would be from that angle but the seats look great!

Yes, the seats were actually just fine. Prince kept himself movin' around enough that I never felt like we were always 'behind' him. Plus, the white square you can see at the top of the photo was the bottom of one of the big screens, so between the two I felt like we got the full effect! biggrin

Wow, I can't believe the tour is already under way. Did anyone here have VIP tickets? How was the treatment? What kind of shirt did you get? How early did you get in? Any pre-show or sound check?

What kind of merch was for sale? Any VIP exclusive merch for sale?

Toronto had no opening act or sound check, we didn't arrive until 7.45 (we took our children) I'm glad we didn't go early as he was an hour late coming out, both nights sad

No special merc. Much better 'goodie bags' than the NY shows though! I'm not going to spoil your surprise but make sure you look through it before you buy anything! Same tees as NY shows, i'd but the official W2A too as P's pic does not appear on the VIP one.

2 free drink vouchers...

Have a funky time.

You got there at 7:45, but what time was the show scheduled to start, and what time were VIP people allowed to enter?

Thanks for the info. Going to the calgary show here.

Also, you mentioned no special merch, but what kind of regular merch were they selling? Were there Raspberry Berets for sale (someone mentioned those on the W2A tour and I want to buy one for my sis). Associated artist CDs, posters, anything else cool? I don't care too much about clothes...

The show was sched' to start at 8 but he didn't come out until 9. We could have gone in at 6.45. Thankfully we didn't! If you can find out about opening acts before you go, otherwise there is no point going early. We sat around for over an hour waiting, happy it wasn't 3 hours!

They have the Berets ($40). Don't remember seeing special tee's outside of the 'welcome to canada' ones. Poster comes with the VIP package...

The merch is the same at every show ive been to, berets, symbols, tambourines, leggins.... blah blah blah.

You'll have a blast smile

I was hoping to catch one of the Toronto shows but didn't happen. However, I see that he's returning to the States, playing Tacoma WA, on 12-19. Hopefully he'll make his way to Detroit!

We travelled from Detroit to the London show--only 2.5 hours. GREAT show! People have been saying it was better than the one in Toronto. I hope he gets to Detroit soon, too.

Well guys, the WELCOME 2 CANADA tour is getting near its end, tonight is the last show!

I want to say I'm incredibly grateful to Prince and the NPG for this canadian tour. Didn't expect to see him that soon after the Metropolis this summer.

Prince and the NPG made thousands of people happy in the past weeks ''from sea to sea'', thousands of people who were able to enjoy... yes wink real music by real musicians but also see an accomplished artist that should be more recognised by people today who might consider him a has been. The man is pure beauty, talent and energy and yes, though the setlist can be similar, he still manages to give his all on stage to make the people happy and have himself a blast doing what he does best, music. A majority of the people there will only see 1 show, and they will love it.

Been able to see 3 shows of this tour, Halifax, Montreal and Ottawa, I've been blessed with high quality concerts, some better than others, but still, a fantastic time in each of them, with different people and different experiences. I enjoyed them all. Now I'm broke, I'm exhausted, but hey I did it! Crazy me!

nod

I do wish he comes back to Montreal, maybe even my city, Quebec (that would be awesome) but I do need a break so I hope he'll also take a break, visit some of the cities that haven't seen him for years, even decades, and then come back to make me realise my dream, once again smile

So, Thanks Prince and the NPG for the tour, we had a perfect time!

maybe the setlists were too boring to tape it.

part from "a million days" & "get wild" there were no surprises at all on this tour..

it probably was big fun for the canadians but here in Europe & the USA as well these were "been there done that" show in my opinion
