Hmmmmm!!! I don't know any other die hard Prince fans other than you guys. I wanted to get the VIP $200 table but couldn't find anyone to go with me so I didn't purchase them. They are probably gone now. I haven't checked.

Do you guys ever go solo?????

Not Prince specifically, but I go to dozens of shows/concerts a year by myself. I usually attend with my girlfriend or a friend, but when they aren't able or interested, I consistently attend shows solo. I absolutely recommend grabbing a table if that is what you're interested in. The focus is going to be on the musical experience. I have just as many great memories from shows I was at solo as ones I attended with others. I trust you'll have an awesome time, especially at a show like Prince.

Come to think of it, each time I've gone to see Prince I did so alone. No one I know knows I'm a Prince fan, or that I'm a fan to a further degree than "he was great during the Superbowl halftime." The people I know who are Prince fans are way and I wouldn't want to be around them unless I were getting paid...

Yep -- multiple times and have always had a blast. I know this is a generality... but I think Prince fans are VERY friendly people in general!

BTW -- you can buy single table tickets now (ie you don't have to buy the pair.) There were some available a few hrs ago. Also, I *might* have an extra seat at a table for Friday night. I have a friend who is waffling a little after I picked up the pair. TBD in the next 24hrs.

Might??? Extra seat? NICE....... I'd say keep me posted but Friday is the one day I can't go.

I almost always go alone because I go multiple times and only occasionally am I able to coordinate with someone to go with me. It's more fun to go with someone of course, but I get better seats when I go for single tickets.

Three times...

1988 or 1989-L.A. Sports Arena, but I went the next night with 3 friends

1992 or 1993- Universal Amphitheater, but I went the next night with my wife

last friday- a ticket was given to me at 5:00; the other two were no shows.

Each time was cool because I never sat in my seat. Finding a better seat is always easier for one.

I may attend a few more solo just because it so easy to find a ticket for one and I want to see those special moments.

UR never "by yourself" at a Prince show....

They are still there at least they are for Sat. night. I haven't checked the other nights. I think I am going to pass this time around because I want VIP 1 and I was able to pull them up when tix first went on sale. I am going to chance it for next time.

Go to the $209.70 tix price range and go to best available seats. Keep trying over and over. It is not always the first things that comes up.

Haha, I agree, I was just saying that today to my husband and mom about going alone.

This weekend I was saying how I decided to skip this upcoming weekend May, 5-7 but I was going to go again and did my friend want to go with when I did. (She's been wanting to go again since we went on 4/22 but $ problems and family commitments, etc. have kept her from it.) So yesterday enjoying this awesome weather in LA we were at the beach with our families and we were talking about it and Prince coming back from the bathroom by ourselves because she was a Prince virgin and her husband thinks she's lost it and she said she wanted couldn't go this weekend cause it was Mothers Day. Then all of a sudden she says "IT'S MOTHER'S DAY!!!!" Like that was her ticket to go. Sure enough within less than 3 hours after she and her family left the beach she called me and said "My mom is buying me a ticket for Mother's Day I WANT TO GO SATURDAY!!!!" so that was my long way of saying I get to go with someone this weekend (we already have our tix) and I told my husband and mom I don't have to go alone yet but I think I may end up going to one of the last 21 shows by myself. I will if no one will go with. No problem at all. Like posted above, getting singles are easier to get better seats and you have a better chance/opportunity to move around when people leave early.

Yeah I went to the 2002 show by myself - tix were $125 and no one else would pony up.

I've done it for other shows too, kind of used to it. I'd probably rather have someone just to be travel buddies with, but if I can't find anyone to go I don't let that stop me.

I went by myself to see in the 3121 club in Vegas. It was my birthday present to myself. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Last Thursday, just before the show, tickets at the box office for VIP table seats were also going for $25. Don't know exactly where located, but talk about a discount!! Anyways, this Prince run, I 've gone 6 times, 4 of those by myself. I have found I could get better seats as a single. I've sat three times in risers and once front row loge at $25 a ticket. For those locations, I'll leave my family behind!! Sometimes you get the "pity or peculiar look" , but hey what doesn't kill me makes me stronger. And seeing Prince makes my heart sing!!

Right! Never compromise on a Prince experience. I have gone alone and I would do it again and again and again...

I just went alone last Thursday and had a floor seat. Once the music starts, being alone isn't an issue.

Most of the time i go by myself . I have been going to since 81, so alot of people that i know dont understand.But i do have one friend that went with me on 4/21 and we had the time of our lives. When Prince was in Vegas i was able to see him every night , but this flying back and forth is a lot. BUT DONT GET ME WRONG IT IS SO WORTH IT!!!!!!!!

I went to London, for the 21 nights, alone. Spent friday-sunday there and went to 2 shows. Can't say I was very lonely though, met some really nice fans and got company by a swedish woman, age 60, who had loved Prince her entire life but never got to see him before. I had a concert-ticket for sale and that's how we got together. She was FAR more lucky than I was that weekend though...

I go to concerts alone all the time (not always of course). I wouldn't miss anything in life that I really want to do becaus nobody wants to join me. Livemusic and movies are perfectly alright to watch on your own.

I totally agree......I will be there Thursday...going bymyself.....but once the concert starts you are never alone

I've been alone to concerts. It's not bad when there are a lot of nice people.

With prince, my parents went once with me. But they had other tickets for on the field than I(In Werchter last year) I had Golden Circle , and they had normal tickets. So I was kinda alone too.. But there were such nice people, I think Prince fans are very nice, and you can really have a nice chat with them. Also in Holland, 18 november last year his concert in Arnhem, was the same. My uncle went with me, but he also had other tickets, he had seats and I had GA. So, also kinda alone..

But again.... also very sweet and nice people, I think you also can have a chat before the show about Prince or anything. I always have a chat at concerts before it's start.

Been to a lot of concerts, alone, together. etc, etc. It doesn't matter if you are alone or not.. if there are lot of nice people out there you will not feel alone. Most Prince fans are very nice so!

but even if you are don't have a chat or anything, when the concert stars you will forget that you are alone

Going alone is sometimes nice because your friends aren't asking you, "what song is this?" Also we can be the Prince fans that we are. I am going all 3 nights this week so if you want to go hit me up. We can all be alone together
