Where is everyone staying from out of town?

Im sure not everyone wants to stay in Inglewood... Where is everyone staying? Downtown LA? Any recomends for nice hotels close to the Forum? Im driving down the same day from Vegas and want to be able to check in and get ready without having to worry about traffic.... thanks

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza LAX last weekend. Any of those hotels are literally within 5 minutes (less than 2 miles) from The Forum and you don't need to take the Freeway. Century Blvd to Prairie.

The below is cut-and-pasted from another thread I posted in where someone asked about hotels:

I found a really good deal at The Holiday Inn near LAX using Travelocity's "Top Secret Hotels" option. You select a hotel range and they let you know the price, but you don't find out the hotel until after you book.

We were so close to the Forum it took us roughly three turns on three streets to get there--no freeways!. Under ten minutes. It was a nice relief not to worry about the legendary LA traffic on the way to the venue. Also, staying near LAX you're right near the on ramps for several freeways so you have easy access to post show dining anywhere you want in the city.

high! when i have to be in LA near the airport, i often stay at the LAX Westin (Century Blvd) or the Hilton. i prefer the parking at the Sheraton & is close 2 the Forum. it's also not 2 far from Pasadena - about 70 minutes door to door. injoy!

I stayed at the Sheraton Gateway (LAX). Crowne Plaza is nice too. If traffic isn't bad you can get to other parts of L.A. after the concert. My advice is to eat before you go as there aren't any good food options at the show (nachos and alcohol). Also, bring cash. Very few card machines in the arena.

Sweet! Thanks for the advice... I used the travelocitys "top seceret " before for Venice beach and ended up with a nice hotel. So anything around LAX should work right?

I flew in last weekend and stayed at the Embassy Suites LAX not El Segundo, which is close to LAX and the Forum. We left for the Forum at about 7:15pm and still got there before the opening act started. All the hotels around LAX are close to the Forum.

Yeah, there are lots of hotels right around LAX...I've stayed in the Four Points Sheraton, La Quinta, and Holiday Inn and thought they were all fairly comparable.

I would think anything around LAX would work. You'd almost certainly be able to take the same non-freeway roads and get to the Forum without any hassle.
