Guess that's not gonna happen for this Welcome To America Tour being that the announcements & concerts are the same week! lol

The W2A dates have been happening since December. You guessed right - the fact you can't get decent seats by being a member of a non existent club isn't a surprise.

Those were the dayZ! Front row seats! Sound checks! I will cherish the memories 4ever. Things change though, and I'm not complaining.

My girlfriend and I had more room to dance in the last row at MSG last February! LOL.

Sad, but customer loyalty means nothing to him. The NPGMC was great, felt appreciated, other than paying a fair price ($100?) for ONA tickets, getting the badge, the soundcheck, but then having the security guy walking around trying to sell the lanyard for $15..that was insulting. I really felt like an "official member of the New Power Generation." Ok, maybe not that much.

I still think that as much as I love the song Gold, that the bit at the end is about as cheeseball as it gets. As I like to joke, the NPG Operator may as well have added that our Membership Card And NPG Lunchbox will be in the mail.

But back to the point, the Musicology tour was a huge success, and we had about a month or longer to buy tickets, make plans, and get time off from work.

Prince doesn't even understand how many people want to go to the shows, but can't. I live in Orlando, and when trying to buy Greensboro tickets, they did not have Will Call as a choice. I could have paid an extra $15 for 3 day shipping...but decided to pass. I will have to make a deal at the venue. Thanks Prince!

Of course, I am a diehard, but his lack of good business practices keeps some famatics away.

The 2004 shows were great. We had front row seats to 2 shows. 3rd row to 2 others and

4th row to 3 more.. smile

It was SO much fun to be up and close with him.

I have sat close almost every show..

one time I had to sit in the 15th row (horrors) I was sooo jealous of those rows ahead of me LOL

I wish he'd have a cool easy to use web site like he did before.. where us LONG TIME fans could have first choice and the scalpers had a harder time buying/selling tickets.
That was cool...

Out for the money? Let's look at this from a business perspective:

Promoter: So Prince, would you like to announce the dates a few months in advance, to give people time to make plans, etc..???

Prince: Uh, no. Even though there is a recession, and my fans are old enough to have lives, jobs,

responsibilities, etc...they love me so much, this will be better.

Promoter: Uh Prince...you're throwing away money...if you give the fans time to make plans, some of your fans love you so much that they will go to multiple shows.

Prince: Fans is short for fanatics, so I don't have to take your advice Mr Promoter! Also, Tony M

was my greatest business decision of my career. In fact, we should look into putting the tickets

on sale two hours before showtime. Maybe we could announce them 8 hours before the show, so

we will sell more tickets.

Promoter: Anybody have some common sense around here? HELP!!!!

remember when that front row seat was only $75! and the show was actually PRINCE singing for the full 2 hours! Few lame guests and really no instrumental versions.
