I will be there with my two daughters. They are younger than some of the ages mentioned (I won't mention their ages to avoid the flames).

I was excited to share a real concert experience with them at a young age with a legend that they will remember forever. They are not big fans, but they know their daddy is. They are very interested in music (listening and performing) so I think it will be a positive experience.

I don't understand why you guys got flamed.

There were quite a few children at the shows in NYC.

I don't have the patience or time to look for the thread where that happened, but that it ridiculous.

Hope you and your kids enjoy the show! biggrin

I got SLAMMED for mentioning that I'm taking my 10 and 12 year olds. I'm not deterred, though! eek)

Dude, I have always seen, since the 90's kids at the shows! The shows have such a huge array of audiences from ages to race I don't see why folks get their panties in a ruffle.

I saw Chaka for one song. Once! I was late getting to the show, she was first on the tour with she and Patti LaBelle. It was good for the one experience.

I can't wait. Haven't seen him since 1997 in Raleigh. I couldn't find anyone here to come with me so I'm coming by myself. That way I can act a fool & no one who knows me will see! LOL...

if you are attending, be ready to show some love to His Royal Badness, Prince. DO NOT leave the coliseum til the ushers make us go, because he is known to do 3-5 encores. In Raleigh he did 2 last night and the 2nd one only had a few 100 people left. In Charlotte tonight, there was only 1 encore because everyone was left. Lets show Prince how much we love him here in the Triad!!!!!

Does anyone know what parking will cost?

I've been listening to Prince since I was 10 when he was way raunchier so I say it should be no problem to bring kids. In fact his show seemed really pg and kid friendly in raleigh lol!

I just saw this on the GSO coliseum's website:

TRAFFIC ALERT
The Greensboro Coliseum Complex has issued a traffic alert for the Coliseum area for Saturday, March 26 as it will host Prince in concert beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The Greensboro Coliseum Complex, Greensboro Department of Transportation and Greensboro Police Department advise all patrons to plan to arrive early, and carpooling is strongly encouraged.
The GPD will be managing major intersections in the vicinity of the Coliseum and variable messaging systems will be deployed to advise motorists of parking and traffic information.
Coliseum parking lots will open at 4 p.m.
Patrons are urged to arrive at least 90 minutes prior to the concert start time (7:30 p.m.) if possible. Patrons are also encouraged to utilize the Lee Street parking lot (located at the northeast corner of Lee Street and Coliseum Boulevard) for convenient access to the north end of the Coliseum and post-event exiting.

What time is everyone going to be getting to the coliseum? I live about 15 minutes away, so we were just wondering what time we should leave
