Awesome show every second of it....was screaming the whole night

Dancing, waving my arms in the air...I love Prince....I love him I love him and

I love him

He looked absolutely perfect in every way, petite yet very masculine and strong.

I was mesmerized all night long watching him.

he kept outdoing hisself one hit after another. The only song i feel that was missing

is "Erotic City", but I can understand why he probably left it out.

And "Do Me Baby", oh my Gawd!!! loved it loved it loved it he let us sing every other verse

So intimate... Wow i can't come down off this high..

Some more points to mention "Purple Rain"....Wow I've seen my man

about 20 times and this was special I was so feeling him and the lighting spectacular.

My son was recording pieces throughout the show, but have not had time to see it yet.

That's gonna be like reliving it.

I am 50 and my son is 18, this is our first concert together and wow did I pick the right

one. Now he knows why I've been a die hard my whole life.

This show is up there, way up there. Before this show the best Prince concert

to date I would say is Musicology in Reno the opening show in 2004, but now here it is

7 years later and the man hasn't aged a bit. Justs keeps getting better.. Oh Yeah

I love Prince I love you..

Larry and Prince reminded me of the Brothers Johnson, remember thunder thumbs and lightening

licks? ..well that was them last night

And oh yes Sheila you go girl

those drumsticks are like extensions of her arms flawless motion

I feel like a giddy school girl

Love you guys 4 ever

...chriss...

I might go to work now

HI! Were you in 113? If so I saw you and your son smile and was telling my friend about when I took my 14 yr old to Portland for One Night Alone...we sat front row and he was instantly in love with Rhonda!! smile Prince sat on the edge of the stage rite in front of my son and shredded

a guitar solo in the symbol guitar..anyway, I was watching your sons reaction too!! Very cool.

in a couple of hours the bootleg will surface and it will be around 110-125 minutes.

Only in europe he gives shows over 3hours wink ( + aftershows)

It was actually just under 3 hours. I looked at my phone right when he went on and it was 8:35.... he left the stage for the last time at 11:29. Close enough to call it 3.... I was trippin off that too as we were walking out. Dude was on a mission.

Take Me With U followed immediately after The Love We Make, which was then followed by Guitar. Man, these setlist reports are awfully shoddy = /

Great show, as always, but I wasn't feeling the crowd as much on this one. I was sat next to mostly old fogies or casual concert goers who didn't give much of a shit. Plus I was right at the arrowhead where two aisles meet, and had to constantly watch security eject people and guide others to their seats with flashlights the whole show. Very distracting. The drunk chick during Raspberry Beret was particularly good.

Wednesday's show was without a doubt the best between the three, in my estimation.

LOL. Not to be ageist, but there were 2 senior citizens, in particular that were either high or lost their meds. LOVED the show, but I couldn't express myself freely because security was escorting, blocking and tackling and flashing their light. I felt there was plenty of room for people to dance (near guitar tip section) without impeding the foot traffice. Really bummed about that. There was a big komotion in back of me by another lady who should of "act you age mama, not your shoe size".

I tried really hard to make a note of each song and order he played Thursday Night (Feb 24 AKA Lastnight). I went as far as jotting notes on my iPhone using the Notes app that it comes with.

1. The Love We Make (what album is this from? I'm not familiar with it. The guitar was crazy)

2. Take Me With You

3. Guitar

4. Anotherloverholeinyohead followed by an unrecognizable hard rocker I've seen some here saying it was Rock Lobster, but to me it sounded more like Dr. Feelgood by Motley Cru (don't really know)

5. Shhh

Sheile E comes out

6. Glamorous Life

7. Controversy, then some unknown funk groove. May be they were just extending the song. Sounded crazy good though

8. A Love Bizarre

9. Backup singer sings sings a slow R&B song. Sorry, I don't know her name or the song

10 Nothing Compares 2 U (backup singer reminded me of the version Prince did with Rosie Gaines) that's on the Hits compilation pack.

11. She's Always In My Hair

12. Welcome 2 America (is this song available?)

13. Let's Go Crazy

14. Delirious

15. 1999

16. Little Red Corvette (new version, slowed down and romantisized - AWESOME)

17. Mountains

I can't remember if Larry Graham came out before or after Mountains. I do remember some microphone feedback when he first came out and Prince introducing him

18. Everyday People

19. Alphabet Street

20. Thank You For Letting Me Be Mice Elf Again

21. Unknown Larry Graham funker

22. Purple Rain

23. Kiss

24. Piano Medley: Started with what I think was Under The Cherry Moon, Do Me Baby and then I Wanne Be Your Lover

25. Sampler Fun. The same piano had some kind of sampler on it where he would hit a key and it would start to play songs, All little snippets.

I heard When Doves Cry, 777-9311, Nasty Girl, Darling Nikki, Single Ladies (Beyonce), I Would Die 4 U, Sign Of The Times, The Most Beautiful Girl In The World, Pop Life. The band came back out to finish Pop Life with him.

26. Raspberry Beret

27. Cream

28. Cool (sounded AWESOME!)

The lights came on and people started to leave. But many of us stuck around for the hope that maybe it wasn't quite over yet. After several minutes, he came back to an almost half empty arena.

29. Let's Work

30. U Got The Look

I lost a little bit of track with all the encores and where they were. My extra spaces represent where I think they were. I am so glad I went ahead and got a last minute ticket. At the same time I am kicking myself in the ass for not leaving early from work to catch the soundcheck. Morris Day was there? Are you freaking kidding me?I've seen prince during the Emancipation tour, and multiple times during the Musicology tour. He did some songs I haven't heard live before.

That drive over the bay bridge was absolutely horrible.

Something that surprised me was outside of the stage area, there was a 3rd keyboard player. At the beginning of the night I though he was a sound or light guy until the camera went on him and you could see him standing there playing.

LOL yes, at the beginning of the night I was thinking "that sound guy is really into this show!" how odd to have a band member so physically disconnected from the rest

Last night was the last night of the Oakland shows…..I attended Monday’s show, had a great time and was very impressed but it could not hold a candle to what I witnessed on Thursday night.

One thing that I recommend for people (if you can) is to sit in lower level for a show, and floor for another. You get a completely different experience. For lower level, I got a great overall feel for the show with a view slightly above the stage so I can see the lighting as well as the performance.

The floor gives you a very intimate experience of the show but you have no idea what the actual stage looks like. Both were awesome, but I always prefer up close & personal on the floor.

So why do I consider Thursday nights show one of Prince’s best arena shows that I have ever attended? It was all over the place, he played rarities, fairly new songs, and hits galore. I won’t go into the setlist cause that has been done but it was sooooo unpredictable and a completely different show that I saw on Monday.

Couldn’t believe he opened with “The Love We Make”, and that version of LRC is literally the best I have ever seen! Prince and Sheila have amazing chemistry and I have not seen them act this playful since the Lovesexy days!

The encores are what floored me….one after another. I felt he basically took Monday and Tuesdays show and combined them for Thursday night. This is one show I left thinking “He did just about everything!” Hit after Hit for the encore and he invited floor people to rush the stage for COOL. Being 2 feet away dancing to COOL was insane!!! Almost everyone thought the show was over…lights were on but crowd continued to chant….he came back for 2 more "Lets Work” and U got the Look. (again dancing right next to the stage with other hard core fans!!)

Are you kidding me? Thursdays show was at least 1 hour longer than Monday nights show. 3+ hours….I think I prefer not having an opening act!!!

I know some have witnessed Prince 100s of times in concert. This was my 21st time and it was the best arena show I saw him put on! (along with Lovesexy).

Absolutely blew me away…..and paying $280 for Section A seats with last nights set, was worth every penny and the 2 hour drive home to SACRAMENTO!!!!

Still in awe this morning!!! eek

[Edited 2/25/11 8:59am]

I agree w/ya. I was sitting in floor section - which is a wonderful vibe in itself. BUT I couldn't see the entire stage. sad . Wish he planted himself near D. Next time I will buy upper level seats to see entire stage and floor for that intimate experience. If he has the same config at other shows, I know where to sit. Obviously the band instruments has to be in the "O". I felt that section was used more than $500 seats& beyond section. (sorry I don't have a seating chart in front of me)

That keyboard player all by his lonesome on that riser was none other than "Morriss Hayes or Mr Hayes." He had to be on ears,to do that but I saw wedges up there. Either homie has golden ears or he can shift time. Cuz there is def time arrival times to deal with. Esp in a reverberant arena like that. Question to any Ratt engineers out there.
Why no monitor console and why 12 SB28's on only the FOH corner of stage & every other position there were only 2-4 subs.
Low end was nasty in that arena.

nod WORD!! I was there all 3 nights! My son and I feel that Wednesday was even better than Thursday, performance wise... but that setlist and the way the crowd was able to bring them back for that last encore on Thursday night was fuckin' awsome!!! I gotta hand it to every trooper who stuck it out and and practically gave P no choice but to come back out to the Intense Bay Area Love he loves us for!

Monday will always be a very special show for me because it was my son's first and I've waited 17 years for that. Wednesday & Thursday, EASILY, are also in my top 5 in nearly 30 shows!!!
