Because I haven't read anywhere that the concert forum is only for those who are in attendance.

And under your own definition, how can someone start a thread in the concert forum for a concert that hasn't yet happened????

for those who are asking...

a) its fun to spectate

b) it gives people a thread to run back to at the end of the night so that 10 aren't created.

as it stands, i'm checking about 16 different threads as it is, just in relation to oakland shows.

some of us are bored sitting at home and if we see the tweets of the songs and have not much else to do but feel it would be nice to update the rest of the orgers what he's playing

Instead of complaining about people starting a thread hours before the concert (and what's wrong with that?), you should be talking about the show. You know, whether it's sold out or not, who will be the guest on stage, any surprises in the setlist and other things.

That was kinda the point of my post.

Also, he didn't write it for Sinead O'Connor - she chose (I believe against his wishes) to cover it.
