The mod should make this thread a sticky so we could keep track of the concert reports for tonight's show.

We are here. Went to Redd's for dinner next to the arena and they were playing all Prince music. Waiting for it to start.

Livenation retweeted this:

Not.. the best setlist. That's from the rehearsal I guess. Just seems short, hopefully they change it up some. But yay for Laydown.

Ridiculously ignorant... Ignorant of Prince's catalog, and ignorant of Prince's concerts. Rehearsals historically have not been indicative of the actual show, and usually, with true Prince heads, it's more like, "Wow, he played that at rehearsal and not at the show?".

Just damn ignorant.

...not 2 mention that it's coming from the promoter...

Sheesh!

Ooops. Sorry Steven Anthony... I thought livenation said that, and not U.

But hey... U should know that a rehearsal is not ever indicative of the show.

If it were, then that would be far 2 short of a Prince concert.

Peace, Man.

Yeah I know, just getting really tired of that Uptown/Raspberry Beret/Cream/Cool/Let's Work/U Got The Look medley. Ugh.

Next is lala Hathaway and rumor of maceo Parker.

I think "Cream" should be retired.... "Raspberry Beret" and "U Got The Look" somehow don't always come off right live, but I'd keep "Uptown", "Cool", and "Let's Work".

that whole setlist needs 2 be retired

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

So far the setlist is the same as the rehearsal. Here comes the medley for the 50 billionth time. Oh well, I STILL wish I was there. Jealous, haha.

So far this looks about right

Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.
