Just a hint. Click on the picture of Prince that pops up when you first get on their page.

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

There's a nice full page ad in The Village Voice advertising the shows. Page 83.

^ I just seen an advertisement about it, in someone's JET magazine, so I guess he's hitting up a lot of outlets to promote this tour. It would be so cool to see that advertisment on a Times Square billboard.

LiveNation changed the pic on their site;now this one is up today. Very nice pic with the dancer wearing the Prince earring that covers the ear. The other image previously posted, with the Apollo video snippet and Prince alone behind the guitar, comes up when you click on "Find Tickets".

It would be so cool and awesome, lf Prince showed up days before the show and performed in the middle of Times Square, on one of tose morning shows, to promote this concert and pump up the vibe before the shows start in December in NJ/NYC. headbang

Also, since 12/29 is two days before New Year's eve, there's usually musicians/artists that perform on New Year's Eve in Times Square before the ball drops. It would be great if Prince stayed in NYC that weekend and performed in Times Square. That would be a major turnout with so many tourists already in town, then after that, he could perform at a smaller venue that same evening. That would be awesome!

Does anyone know how the Wingate by Wyndham-Manhattan Midtown rates?

I got the hotel from the link someone kindly posted on this forum. Is it close enough to walk to MSG?

Also, I found the Holidy Inn Express NYC Madison Square Garden. Anyone know much about either one of these?

I am from NC; therefore, I will be traveling about 8 1/2 - 9 hours...I love to visit NYC anyway, so this is the perfect chance to take a mini vacation.

But I want to ensure that I get as close to the venue as possible to avoid cabs and all that jazz.

Can anyone here help me out?

Thank you!!

Also, I think I have read a few "rumors" about ticket pricing, does anyone have any inside info on the MSG venue prices?

Here you go.

Located in New York City's Garment District, our hotel is also conveniently located near major transportation hubs such as Penn Station and the Grand Central Terminal. And with The Garden located less than a quarter of a mile away, the Wingate is the most convenient Madison S...rden hotel.

I'm from NY (though now on the West Coast). Living there I never stayed at those hotels but I find TripAdvisor.com to be really useful to get real people's reviews of hotels.

Holiday Inn might be a nicer block if I recall...you start to get into Chelsea vs. the 30's which is near Macy's but not really an aesthetically pleasing area.

I live in the midwest. I would totally shell out the cash to get a ticket, and a flight, and a hotel if I actually felt like i could trust him to show up.

But I don't, so I'm going to hang tight and hope for a Chicago, Minneapolis or St. Louis show.
