prince concert Werchter july 10th Yesterday a radio station announced that there would be another 600 golden circle tickets put op for sale. It's true, I bought one yesterday for a friend of mine. So get surfin'! | |

Anyone else frustrated about the 600 extra tickets for Golden Circle in Werchter? As the ticket sale for Prince playing at Werchter started, I immediateley logged on to that crappy ticket site, just to see there were 49k+ other people trying to do the same. When I finally was able to log on, the golden circle tickets I so much wanted were sold out, so I bought 'regular' tickets in stead. Just to find out now there are 600 more tickets on sale for the golden circle! I can't afford to buy them as extras and can't sell the ones I already have, because the Werchter site is so big, there are loads of tickets left. And there will be 600 more people standing before me... | |

GC tickets have been on sale on and off since tickets went on sale. I think this last Monday they went on sale again for the umpteenth time. And in the first few weeks after tickets went on sale, a lot of tickets were released of people who ordered too many tix or whose creditcard payments were denied. So, in retrospect, there was no need for people to panic, but that's just the way things go...

Dear Orgers, the story gets even better! Today I heard a radio commercial from the newspaper that'll be giving away the CD. They're giving away 6000, yes SIX THOUSAND, tickets by means of an easy quiz or somethinh like that! | |

Just another tactic to beat scalpers.... Oh wait, that doesn't make sense, does it? With plenty of tickets still available through the official outlets..... Could it be that the scalpers themselves are looking for new ways to get rid of their tickets! | |

Totally agree about how shabby the promoters behaviour has been regarding sales.
