Slow ticket sales

I ordered four tix for the Berlin show yesterday and there are still all kinds of tix available. Times are a changing.... I remember staying awake to get tix for London, hey it`s the only german date so far and nobody seems to care, what went wrong, or I´m just gettin old.

Rember the London prices? smile Maybe thats the reason.

And most of us Germans got tix for Werchter or Arras already.... shitty timing I would say....

It's also a matter of advertising. I think most casual fans just don't know about those concerts, because they don't follow his every move on forums like this. These concerts need promotion, maybe a few tv appearances will help. Has anybody seen any advertising in the cities he'll play? Some posters, billboards and stuff like that?

Not surprised at all, prices are sky high (EUR 155 for Berlin eek ), no advertisements (need to read it here), concerts are announced one and off instead of a proper tour schedule at once. I now have tickets for Belgium and Germany which are close by but I am not surprised to see him doing a show in NL as well, which could have saved me time and money.

But, I am not complaining, happy that he is back in Europe lol

That's too bad. If plane tickets and hotels in Europe didn't cost so much right now, I would fly over and combine tourism and a Prince concert. I just hope that he will do a few dates stateside so I can go... sad

Yeah quite a few posters here in Paris....but they're awful as we know.....certainly wouldn't inspire many casual fans to part with 100€!

I guess they are talking about arras? I agree about the poster though eireboy. I have seen them around myself. Compared to the 21 nights posters they do not work. They lack energy and excitement. And a decent photograph.
The slow sales are partially down to Prince making himself uncool again, I think. He got everything right for the o2 gigs. Now a lot of people he is a dick who is only doing these gigs for the money. So why pay these ridiculous prices? IMHO.

Yep, probably Arras.

A lot of fans think he is a dick who does it for the money.

Most other folk simply don't bother that much anymore. They won't mind hearing the hits, but not for any price.....

I think if he advertised the shows and did a press statement saying howmuch he was looking forward to seeing his fans (whatever we are called) ecspecially after croke park a statement would help to make this out.

The problem is he believes he is above all of that. That he doesn't need to respond to his fans, and in a way he is correct, he doesn't. It is his right to do as he pleases. But just don't expect to have continued success as a result! it is our right to not give a shit anymore!

P could at least send out a lotusflow3r.com email 2 get word out; but, I guess if there's no discount 4 lotusflow3r "former" members, we'd have something new 2 bitch about, so it's best 2 leave it alone.

Sigh...

We all know P is not teh best communicator, at least in the digital world.

Also in the paper world w.r.t. paying his bills or following up to a CONtract, he is not too clear or communicates not at all.

We do not need a discount.

A simple 'official!' item with all the dates to be going on sale would have helped us best.

But even that is too much to be asked.

I think it`s not sure that these gigs will happen. The Waldbühne ( 22.000 ) is to big for prince these days. The story that 10.000 tix are sold is nothing but a joke. My tickets were in the mail yesterday and I´m going sick when I`m reading 153,35 € on them. The London shows (especially the aftershows ) were such a great experience for me and I have so much fantastic memories. To be honest, I don`t think it can go any better than this, so maybe it`s a fault to see him again in Berlin. Any opinions?

Well, I doubt that it will be sold out. It's to short-dated and no really promotion is around - in my opinion. There are a few friends who likes to go, but tix are too expensive. And may there is less interest for prince, too.

I'm on holiday when these shows take place. That has hapened before and i really hated the fact. Now I reaally can't bother to much. Like you said: whe had the O2 and aftersow experience. I'm afraid these large open-air concerts won't even come close......

I think your right the o2 was a one off. You may never see Prince do that again. We were very very lucky to have easy access aftershows. And £31.21 for VIP tickets was cheap once you learnt how ticketbastard worked....

I thought the same when I bought MJ tickets of course it would never be as good as I rememeber him doing dangourous and Bad tour but still worth watching

Negativity is not healthy;)

better go to the shows and enjoy it...wink

London was great....but so was the Paris shows and Montreux last year!

You really think the waldbühne is too big?? Then wait for July!

How come people are always negativ? If Prince was like that, he would never

booked the O2 for 21 nights! Think about it^^

well...the reason he is doing these big stadium shows now is simple.....he needs the cash folx....he wont play small venues on this tour.

big profits here...tix Xpensive N big stadiums = mega bucks!!!

simple economics.

were going to 3 of the shows cause were hopin he will add wembley stadium.

peace n love yall

Maybe we can put it in the context of P without big hits, just repeating old stuff, not doing 1995-like daring concept shows. (not that the shows are bad but different...)

Also the pricing: we're in this cri$i$, this debt-socialisation or rather bank-induced fascism?

People might just be counting their money a bit more than usual.
