Tonight Show performance 3/25 link - Ol' School Company

Haven't seen this posted elsewhere, so here you go - free to watch:

http://www.nbc.com/The_To...id=1072661

There's a commercial to sit through and whatnot, but you can fast-forward to about the 38 minute mark to see the performance.

[edited date to 3/25 in thread subject]
This is the Ol' Skool Company performance, btw.

Did anyone catch the sexy paramedics? GRRRRRLLLLL
I don't have time to listen to new music, I've got too much old Prince to discover. Classic example : I was at club Nokia at the midnight show and didn't know "In a large room with no lights" . . . my bad Prince

Cool, thanks for posting. I set my DVR to record this and I set it to stop recording before P came out.

It's kinda funny to see Halle and Prince together because his ex wife is now dating her ex husband.. cool

Reminded me a lot of his performance of "Come On" on Leno more than 10 years ago. It was just a party jam - fun!

Yeah I too was a bit disappointed in the performance myself. Or maybe it was just the song he chose. Maybe tonight will be better.

I thought it was interesting to see Prince without his vauted heels. I've seen the pics of him in the airport, etc. without the heels, and sporting shoes resembling "house shoes" but I think last night was the first time I saw them in a performance.

Only problem with the performance was he was stuck in one place to long. But when he took off the shades and the crowd went nuts he got out there and worked the crowd like only P can! Solid performance - lovin the disco ball jellyfish!
The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Remember there is only one destination and that place is U

OMG!!!!! Kenlecam, RU out of your mind??!!! That shit was Dope beyond belief!!!! To each his/her own, but for me, I was singing along with that shit the whole time. Usually a song has to grow on you before you start vibing to it. I was vibing to that shit within seconds into the first verse. Whooo-hoooo!!!! Bring on the funk baby...Bring that shit on!!!!!

That Come On performace was better than this one. It was not bad - nothing Prince does is - but I have seen much better from him. Perhaps time is finally catching up to him.

Me too. I dig the album version an awful lot, but that was not a great performance. I like what I've heard of Fredrick's work elsewhere, but I don't think Harmonica is the right choice for this track. I think Renato would have been a better addition.

On another note, I'm assuming the white girl is Elisa. Was she always round, or is that new? I've got the CD at home, but don't recall anything but a close up on the cover. I don't mean to offend anyway here, just wondering.

Wondering how the conversation went with Prince and Halle recognizing that both their ex's are now seeing each other. It's a coincedence that both of them are at top of their field. They'd make an interesting couple..hmmmmm?
ThankUPrince!
