Hopefully Carrie's pics will clarify (Carrie, I've sent you a note) i blame the spanish meal i had the day before.sorry. bleeeurgh!! I actually held my nose while I was talking to people, it was rank! (You actually thought you had gotten away with it and you'd never meet those people again and then someone starts posting about your satan-arse!) [Edited 6/18/08 10:37am]

Got a bit scared there for a moment as although I have a reputation for being fragrant I definately wasn't that night! Warning: this site does contain nuts.

Just got back home this evening so this is my first chance to comment. WHAT a tribute band. After years of enduring hideously embarrassing Michael Jackson tributes at fan parties I'd grown such contempt for such things, but Purple Rain were just awesome.

[edit] Apparently Annie thought I had more than 10 pints of Guinness. Seeing as I'd also had three at lunch time I was doing rather well I thought. How I didn't fall down the bloody stairs in Sin I have no idea! [/edit] [Edited 6/17/08 12:07pm] Hey, were u the one who bought me the guiness ? If so Thanks again. And a special big thanks to Purple Rain. You guys ROCK! If you ever think about going to holland, org-note me ! ___________________________________________________________________________________

Yes, I also just got home! When I heard about that tribute band playing I was a bit weary about it... first of all going to Dublin to see Prince and ending up seeing a tribute band instead and secondly a tribute band trying to sound like Prince! So I initially went to see Iggy Pop, who also did an outdoor gig! When I was on the way back I kinda walked by the SIN club and since a friend was already in, I went in there too... and to my surprise Purple Rain were great! Those guys and girl did a great job and it almost felt like an aftershow (in regards to closeness and the mood of the people)! So we really had a great night after all!

Yeah, I guess that was one of the main reasons I was weary of it and only had the lowest expectations! A Michael tribute would never turn out this great as this Prince tribute! Thanks to Purple Rain, Barbarella and everyone involved for organizing this! Also thanks to Barbara07 for the earlier Big tree thing! [Edited 6/21/08 7:57am]

Thanks guys - like a few others I was super skeptical about tribute bands but the missus was up for checking you out and we had a really good time and thought you played a great set !!

I think after the whole disappointment of the cancellation, I for one was going to make the best of the night. I was over by the bar initially and although people were enjoying Purple Rain, they weren't really getting into them. I'm so glad I made my way over to the front right of the floor, where everyone was just having a great time! Because there was no Prince, there was no starstruck audience standing in awe of the great man (like I usually do!) But Purple Rain were THAT good that those who wanted to 'Get Wild' could - and did! the best remedie for a basketful o' lies is...
