I'M NOT DEPRESSED!

Much is being written on here about how depressed you all are about Prince going home and it being the end of the 21st nights in London.

I hate to go against the grain but I'm so happy! Not that it's all over of course but happy that I got to see him 5 times, happy that the 2 aftershows I went to he turned up, happy that I got to see him on the 21st, and happy that I got to meet so many orgers who were all lovely.

So I'm not depressed at all. I'M HAPPY. Think about it. You should be too. We've all had a great time. Out of the whole world he chose to do 21 nights in London. How lucky are we. Don't be depressed and sad. Be happy that he came to us and feel lucky to have been a part of it.

I'm not depressed either. (Saturday was a bit of a downer because it was strange not to have any Prince shows or TM to sort out) But since then I have been very happy that I saw it. I keep doing random dancing in public, which looks odd I'm sure, but I'm just very happy biggrin

wow that kicked me into touch! Yes have felt pretty down last few days. But you are right, We have been so lucky. I know Im happy to be part of the whole 21 night/org experience that a lot of my family and friends didn't really understand.Im also happy that Prince has turned out to be everything I thought he was and more...both artistically and personally. I'm also happy that I got so close and that my daughter got to see him...perfect!!

Well said!

Lovely not to see the "no tickets matched your criteria" on TM site....again, and again and again though. Thats one thing I surely wont miss!

It sad yes, but at the same time I feel privileged and lucky and happy, and alot of other nice things. To have been there and experienced that great artist again feels good! Hope it wont take to long before I can see him again.....
I'll give up all my lovers if u can make me shout...

it is like anything, takes abit of time, but we have all been very lucky, it was a riot, found myself smiling to myself today, recalling certain memories and details of things that went on before, after and during the various shows I saw.....and oh yeah, some of those shows did not include himself lol
If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

I'm grateful, yes, for having seen him 3 times this summer, 5 times total the last few years - especially because I never thought I would have the chance (around the time where he withdraw a bit from the commercial scene). However I'm still longing to see him at one of those famous aftershows. I have been to some, but haven't had any luck yet seeing him perform. Oh well, lesson learned - next time I'll sell all my belongings and buy tickets for every single show - I'm sure I won't regret nutso

-money don't matter tonight..

Im depressed cause I only got to see Prince just the once on this tour. Normally I try to get to a couple of shows per tour.....

but being a grown up now I have a family. I did that my nine year old daughter and just to see her face and hear her talk about the concert to people on the train back home brought a tear to my eye.

I was lucky enough to go to lots of shows and enjoyed them all. What depressed me was that I missed the final aftershow to go to a birthday party for a friend's husband!!! He is a psychologist (hope I've spelt that right) and when I told him how many concerts I'd been to, he told me I was NUTS - and he should know because he's a psychologist!!!! Happy now though because one of his colleagues has confirmed he's the one who's NUTS not me!!!! I had the most wonderful time and enjoyed every minute of the seven weeks Prince was at the 02.

Yeah the sadness has just about lifted now and i feel very lucky to have been able to attend 6 Prince concerts(inc. 21st) and 1 aftershow this summer. I wouldn't have been able to do it if he had charged crazy prices like most other acts seem to so i am truly grateful for that. I had a blast at the o2, which i think is a fantastic venue, and the memories will stay with me forever. I'm just GUTTED i couldn't get tix for the 21st aftershow, but you can't win 'em all i suppose x
...shall we go back?...let's go

I think every1 who got 2 go and see the marvelous show IS exstatic,

its just a little come down that gets perked up by the video mind replays
surely no1 is depressed.....
may b a little blue and a bit disorientated by the emotional tornado that prince creates in some of us (i'm sure there is an average of at least one tear shed by each person at the last aftashow)...

but people all have their time... and deep down every1 is happy i'm sure, sun

There is a certain comfort in being blue derived from intense happiness....
go with it, enjoy it.... but please people... don't get depressed!!!

As for me... ,my jaws r starting to hurt from the fixed grin and staring in2 the void....i'm still cold turkey and have not put any prince cds in2 the stereo, house car, mp3 or dvd....is becoming a challenge thou.

Withnail..... I saw some of those shows...wink

is any 1 up for a meet n chat in london with out a prince concert 2 go 2? check out

Hi there - would have loved to have come and if it was the Saturday after then I could have come but I have a 5 year old and as I was out all night on Friday and she stayed at my friends for the weekend I need to spend this weekend with her. I have copied your message to my brother (Mentalist) though and I'm sure he'd be up for it.

I'm sure we'll meet again some time in the not too distant future x

So glad I'm not the only one! I've been on such a high, but you come on here to try and keep the joy flowing a little longer and people are just depressed or bitching about glowsticks. security and poor old Amy! Losers.

I had an absolute ball in the last few weeks and am still buzzing. Don't get all the negativity - why do people always want more?

Thanx 4 that, I went to 5 shows and aftershows, he played 4 of the aftershows, so I do feel truly blessed, this whole summer 07 has been brilliant, and made me realise just how good live music SHOULD be, I just hope a lot of other artists were taking notes, cos some have a lot of catching up to do to get to Prince's level. I would like to think he will be back one day wink wink

oh i'm not depressed either ..i'm glad it's all over ..i can relive all of these concerts without paying a dang..and hopefully the last time those boring medleys and that sampler set will ever b heard from again...and not 2 mention the hits!

and hopefully it will b the last time someone says.."not many people have heard the hits live b4"..they r out there ..go listen 2 them ..
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

With you all the way, girl!

It's too much of a buzz when he's here. Sure, it's back to reality afterwards, but what great memories.

And given what a high he went out on, there's no way I could feel sad. It's been 5 days now, and I'm still on a high. I can't get songs out of my head when I'm at work!

oh, and I met you, of course... cool

Thank you so much for this post, gave me a much needed reality check! I went to 11shows, 11 Afters of which he turned up 7 times, i mean how can i not feel lucky and grateful and blessed?! I felt he truly gave himself to us and we loved him for it. Can't get better than that, can it.

The first Afershow i saw was the 7th - when i came home i thought that was the best night of my life! HA! How little did I know! It would just get better and better and everytime I got home with the words, "No, THIS was the best night of my life!" He relaxed more and more and felt so much at home in the end, I thought. Not just the way he played for us testifies to this but also the fact that he became quite talkative at some of the Aftershows! "I want to talk to you all!..." - I think is a good sign!

Of course we always want more of a good thing but better to walk away on a high with such fantastic memories! The highlights for me include the main shows on the 13th and 21st and all the Aftershows, but specially the 28th... and becoming part of the org! The team spirit here (with threads like this!) and being able to share this rolercoaster journey with all the people experiencing the same has saved my sanity and made the whole journey a homecoming! Thank you!

What does Prince say: "That's when it hits you like a fist on a wall" I got depressed like a month after he left town I must have heard a song and it just hit me out of the clear blue sky, that pain put tears in my eyes and I've been waiting for him to come back ever since. confused

Might see you @ the Maceo Show. Can't imagine it being "The War" pt.2 in there, that night.
