Manchester 8th..awesome

Just got back from Apollo.Prince was on sparkling form cant remember set-list but heres a few i can just recall.(in no order)
rainbow children
muse 2
mellow
1+1+1=3
beautiful ones
rasp beret
the everlasting now
condition of the heart
housequake (very short)
the ladder
love bazaar (awesome)
so many more but my mind has seazed up..lol
The band were sooo tight especially Candy and renato.
P was in playful mood got ppl up on stage 2 dance while he played the keys...he had a dig at the gutter press! and gave a religious speech on how we are all the same regardless of colour..etc..show ended with The Ladder which was totally mindblowing!! Heres 2 the next time P

Also did Extraordinary, Ballad of Dorothy Parker, Pop Life, Take me with u, Pass the peas etc.etc. but don't think Condition... was played last nite, just on the 7th. It was great to hear some of the lesser performed songs last nite, but I enjoyed 7th more, P seemed in great form, laughing and joking all nite.

As this show was the only of the UK set I attended and after being spoilt with previous ONA reports and bootlegs I must admit that great as the show was I felt let down when it ended before 10.30pm without Family Name or a piano segment (Adore, HCUDCMA etc).

I think he changes the show so much here (UK) because so many fans are attending all the shows ! So he's just mixing up the songs a bit and keeping it fresh.
I think he'll stick to a more set routine for the rest of the European tour. Might be wrong though !

worship "Awesome" sums this band up perfectly, though i didn't hear either of the manchester gigs (Monday nite Man U/Everton match, Tuesday gig by Eric Bibb, a charming folk-blues singer/guitarist who does a stonking rendition of that old Rev Gary Davis song 'bout hearing the angels).

rolleyes Sounds like i missed myself though. Glad (but not in the least bit surprised) 2 hear that every1 had such a fantastic time. Thanx 4 all the reviews folx!

I was up on that stage during love bizarre, It was so strange, u cannot hear urself singing through the mike! I was the one in the short pink boob tube with blue jeans and coin belt, it felt like ages and was hard to keep dancing and i was totally mesmerised by him. He wiggled his finger at me to make me get closer to the mike lol, and as we left i asked him if he'd play happy birthday for me cos it was my 20th birthday and he just gave me this huge smile and looked me in the eyes lol. he also touched my hand and i must say his hands are very soft.

Thanks to Unique for the seats the best birthday present i could ever hope for, i m in debt to u 4 ever lol. Also thanks to all his friends i cannot remeber anybodys name lol.

Blackwell shook my hand and signed my programe and later gave me a well worn drum stick. I met other members of the band as they left round the back.

Candy is so lovely, and how much puff has she got she was awesome and she also signed my program. Rhonda is also lovely, she plays so well and i didnt realise how small she was i bought her album and i got her autograph.

I also got renarto and greg boyers signatures.

It was the best ever and my 1st. It was an amazing show and the lack of an aftershow/party didnt really matter.

Hi to all i met and who said hello, thanks to all those who wished me happy birthday. Thanks to dapope for looking after my stuff in his car. It was the best day ever and i ll never forget it.
