TICKET GONE

TICKET WAS GIVEN 2 SOMEONE ELSE. I HAD BOUGHT 2 TICKETS 4 THE 21ST (1 4 MYSELF AND THEN 1 2 SELL) PAID £300 4 THE 2 OF THEM. THE TICKETS DIDNT MATERALISE AND IN THE MEANTIME HAD SOLD THE OTHER TICKET, SO BECAUSE OF LETTING SOMEONE ELSE DOWN I GAVE THE PERSON THE TICKET 4 THE 20TH FREE OF CHARGE AND IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING A REFUND SORTED OUT. THANK U 4 ALL THE REPLYS AND SORRY 4 THE WHOLE MIX UP.

Because I have loved Prince since 1974, but have never ever seen him live. It's my dying wish. I have no arms, no legs, no digestive system, I'm blind in one eye and can't see out of the other. I have no living relatives, and I depend on the kindness of strangers.

Infact, I managed to get 10 front row seats for the 21st (via a competition on Radio Norwich), but my doctor has told me the gangrene will likely have killed me off before 8pm that evening. It was his very words of advice that my best case scenario would be to find a kindly soul to give me a freee ticket for the 20th, and then - with the man in the black robes and scythe approaching - I should probably just give away my 10 front row seats to the last gig to the kindly soul who gave me the ticket.

10 front row seats I have. For the last gig. For a kindly soul.

I'm typing with my tongue. Please help.

Ive been a fan for 23 years and ive been 2 see him in every tour since Lovesexy (Including this one)
Ive seen him earlier in the O2 and I would love to see him one more time this year

Here's my shot at the prize, and I'll start with something you probably won't hear too much in this ticket race -

I have never seen Prince perform live. Not only not at the O2. Ever.

I've only recently got back to London from a job that took me away for the Summer only to hear from friends who had been to O2 gigs already how fantastic he was and it seriously grabbed my imagination. Since then I've been scouring eBay and checking TM with no luck. Frankly I can't afford to pay over face value for a ticket; it's a luxury to even consider splashing out to go at all, so eBay has gotten increasingly impossible (anyone else see the ridiculous £3000.00 Buy in now for the 21st tonight?? ) But... I think about what my friends said, and I've been listening to the albums again.... and now I just have to go.

Purple Rain was my favourite album when I was at school, me and my best friend used to sing "Let's Go Crazy" at each other all the time.... you know the one... Dr. Everythin'll be alright.... I suppose you could say I've been a Prince fan for a long time (I'm now 30) and I'll kick myself if I lost the opportunity to see him performing when he is so clearly at the absolute peak of his live performance (and judging from the set-lists performing all the songs I would love to hear him play).

I'm a brand new member of this forum and have been sitting on my hands waiting a very long and painful five days to be allowed to post and orgnote, and I've watched so many ticket offers going by that I would have jumped at the chance to take up. Tonight, *this* post is my very first post on the forum. Hi everyone!

So, that's my story. Sorry to go on... obviously I really want this ticket, but if it's not me I would ask anyone else who has read this to bear me in mind if they suddenly have a spare ticket for any of the three remaining shows. I live in London - I can get there with a hour or so to spare. And of course I would be massively grateful.

2) Prince was my first love and will probably be my last (that Darling Nikki girl was cute, admittedly, but she didn't have a patch on the Purple One). Imagine the amount of gratitude, relief and sheer joy the average fan would feel at winning this ticket, then multiply it by ten, then add a raspberry beret, then multiply it by 1999, and you've got a pretty good idea of how I'll feel if I win.

And last, but very much not least, reason number 3 - the reason to end all reasons:

3) Last week I actually got hold of a bargain secondhand and oh-so-funky-purple suit, and if I win I'll wear it at the gig and dance my arse off!

HEY WAIT ONE MINUTE HOLYRIVER, MY BROTHER TOLD ME HE ALREADY HAS THIS TICKET, IT WAS GIVEN TO HIM BY A GUY WHO HE THOUGHT WAS TRYING TO RIP HIM OFF ON EBAY, HE SAID HE BOUGHT A TICKET FROM HIM FOR THE 21ST FOR £150 BUT THIS GUY DID NOT HAVE THE TICKET TO SELL IN THE FIRST PLACE.

MY BROTHER SAID HE GOT IN TOUCH WITH HIM LAST WEEK AND ASKED FOR HIS MONEY BACK, THIS GUY (I THINK HE IS CALLED JOHN FROM IRELAND) TOLD MY BROTHER HE WOULD GET THE MONEY BACK BY THIS WEEKEND BUT HE IS STILL WAITING AND IS WORRIED HE MIGHT NOT GET IT AT ALL.

ANYWAY THIS JOHN FROM IRELAND SENT HIM THIS E-TICKET FOR FREE AS A SWEETNER I SUPPOSE AND IT IS FOR 20TH SEPTEMBER BLOCK 101 ROW J SEAT 38. MY BROTHER HAS THE PDF AND I HAVE SEEN IT…. Wow, royalbadness, that doesn't sound good!
But.... how can ur brother know for sure that his e-ticket is the only one around for this particular seat?? This "John" may have sent this ticket out to dozens of people!
If I were ur brother, I would make sure I was the first one in the O2... so his barcode is the first 2 be scanned for this seat...
