Last night made me cry!

There i was all on my own last night in block A1 last row. Ive felt so miserable lately i thought nothing would get a smile on my face but of course Prince always steps up and makes my day!!! I felt abit stupid seating all by my self so was pleased when he came on. I just through my self in to. When purple rain came on i started to cry tears of joy I could not hold them back i did not care what people thought of me i still dont. That was my problem always trying to please people and not to make a fool of my self. Who gives a shit!!!
Just thought id share that.

Listen Girrrlll! I went to see him in LV and in London twice with 2 aftershows on my own and I did not care, I love his music and when I see him performing, everything around me is blanked out anyway.
I just could not wait for my friends to make their minds up, tickets for his concerts are always selling fast.
On several occasions I met lovely fans who at least understand my passion for music.
Don't wait for people to do things otherwise you will miss wonderful moments in life.

I've gone to Prince shows by myself...It's a Prince show...lack of company is not a problem, because in the end I'm there with everyone else enjoying the show!

Re: Going by yourself. I've been doing that for years! I even took a side trip from San Francisco to Las Vegas to see Prince at the Rio by myself. When it comes to Prince, it has to be done!

Re: Crying at songs. I cried when he played 1999 on (I think) the 14th, as I never expected to hear that song again live. I also got a bit teary when he did Forever In My Life, as I'd never heard that live and it felt like I'd stepped into the Sign Of The Times video. I want to blame my pregnancy hormones for all this, but I would have probably felt the same regardless!

Just enjoy yourself!

There's nothing wrong with going by yourself. I've done it before, and am sure i'll do it again.

I actually quite enjoy it. You don't have to worry about whether the person you're with is enjoying it, recognising the songs etc. You can just fully get into it. And although you might feel a bit self concious in the beginning, by the end you'll be so high you wont care.

ive been going to concert for years..often had to go on my own,,,many bowie and prince concerts..your never alone,,cause both artistes fans are just one big happy family..im looking forward to seeing the man on sept 13th

i cried tears of joy as well!

on the seventeenth...my first prince concert. id flown in from paris just for this, and when he did "shhh" i couldnt help but cry! it was like everything id been working for, my whole life, was finally complete!
im a quite emotional person though aha

I was worried at first about going alone. But I really wanted to go far more of the gigs than I have friends I could drag along!

I went on the 14th on my own for the first time. I found it really liberating - not having to worry if the person I was with was having a good time or not, and not having to worry if they wanted to leave the aftershow before I wanted to etc.

I have also met some really nice and friendly people, and have enjoyed every minute of it.

Going alone was a great decision.

As for crying, there have been 1 or 2 tears... but they are definately tears of joy.
