LOL Well he aint gonna not tour the USA. . London is a test for him to see the out come of this stint in London. The Price different means that he will rake in the city's income for 21 days. . But the problem here in the USA is that he cant book a venue that long like lets say here in ATLANTA the Phillips Arena. He cant hols the joint up that long. . because of other attractions and such have booked and dates are not gonna fall where he needs them. I think it is great he is studying the WORD and i predict he will lose non believing fans becasue of it. His musci will change after going deeper into the WORD and some if not most wont like it. . Back to my opinion of the tour. . . why no talk of the CD?? why no talk of the band?? If he is just doing all the hits then he needs to BRING BACK THE REVOLUTION!!! I will pay 100.00 easy for it. i dont think the ticket prices will stay the same for USA,. oh and the cd with the concert is off the hook!! i love it

Hey Tx.. smile I know...now if he had decided not to go over there, then they would complain. Maybe it's a good thing he won't be over there that long, because according to his statement, it doesn't seem he'll be back in Europe touring for a long while after August, so they better appreciate his stay while he is there, because they may not get the opportunity most US fans had for the past 1 1/2 years.

Earth tour that ain't an earth tour.
21 shows in London 'for Europe'?!

Please tell me that this is only half the news?

(or get in contact with me if you have a cheap place to stay reasonably close to the venue)

Bring it on biggrin

I am sure it won't be as personal as 3121 at the Rio (which was biggrin )

but I'll be there for sure

Get those ticket hotlines open confused

Anyone going to do the VIP cruise down the Thames on the Silver Sturgeon???

nod I'm planning to go to even though I KNOW it's going to be vastly different from the intimacy of the Rio AND the Jazz Cuisine. I'm waiting to hear about the VIP cruise though, that sounds too cool.

Actually I don't think Txladycat and 2elijah were "bitching" they were just making their own "observations" of quite a few nasty comments that have been made about Prince's press conference. And since fans in the UK have been very vocal about Prince not touring there, it's kinda odd that of all the things to focus on, now that he is (and at much cheaper prices than we got here in the states), some would choose to bash him for mentioning the Bible in his press conference. I know ya'll aren't into public declarations of religion over there but he simply answered a question that was asked of him and a lot of his supposed fans are criticizing him for it. But I guess that's what folks like to do, build one up only to tear them down. Enjoy the show!

It's great that he's dropping the ticket prices for the London shows. As he said at the press conference, "He's trying to make it affordable for everybody." Too bad he wasn't thinking that when tickets for the Florida show a couple days before the Superbowl were more than $400 each.

I'm not holding my breath for US shows anytime soon, nor for prices here to be as low as the London shows.

I think the man is a musical genius, and have been a fan for 25 years, but the ego is a little much when he expects people to jump through hoops to see him -- in terms of ticket prices and that you need to travel hundreds of miles for a show.

i concur. it was not a "bitching session" or a "bash" at anyone in particular. merely our observation as to why can't people just be happy instead of always finding some kind of fault, and i didn't just mean "brits". I guarantee you if the same tour were announced here in the same fashion, people here would find something to bitch about as well. You got what you have been asking for, Prince in concert, now just enjoy it for all its worth is all I was saying....carry on cool

How wonderful that the UK gets to see him!

I had jetlag flying from Michigan to Nevada --- but I am still trying to figure out how to re-arrange August so I can check out a show (or 2).

Is it ridiculous to feel a bit sad that he is no longer in the good ole U S of A?

If you are in Europe and hemming and hawing about going, listen to me, GO! You will have the best time and stay up all night and the music will make you feel good and everyone will have a great time!

So Go!

While us Americans contemplate our outfits for the next time he is in town...
