Being that my sausage grew in a society, and had obvious and greater benefits from such society, I'll be happy to pay my just share. lol

i have nothing against rich people keeping their $$.
but, it makes me nauseous that 4% of the population controls what is it, 80% of the nation's total wealth?

something isn't right there.

Goddamn... that sucks. I hate taxes.

Ice, paying taxes is a part of your duty as a member of any civilized society. There's no such thing as a free lunch. You want the opportunity to live a safe, healthy life and seek your fortune? you have to chip in your share to make sure we have roads, safe food, insured bank accounts, and oh yes, a justice system and national defense. U think an infrastructure grows on trees?

I have to pay income taxes, FICA taxes, social security taxes, sales taxes and property taxes. I wish I could keep everything I made, but hey, that's the tradeoff.

I am not against paying taxes that are reasonable, but I am in favor of a SMALLER government that does not regulate basically everything... I am for a government without a department of "X" for everything under the sun...

Small government - small taxes.

Sometimes I think conservatives think history started in 1981.

There was a time when there was little or no oversight over the daily activities of American life, particularly in the area of business transactions. The lack of oversight led to a little bump in the road -- the Great Depression. Heard of it?

Oh yeah, in the 80's, as deregulation became all the rage, we had another little bump in the road. It was called the S&L crisis. You know, where millions of Americans lost their life savings? Many others lost their jobs?

We need reasonable regulations on certain aspects of our society to ensure that the citizenry as a whole are not taken advantage of. Can government be smaller? Of course it can, anyone who's spent a lick of time in DC would know that. So I hope that's what you meant by small government-small taxes.

What types of regulations would you approve of? Which departments need to go?

Props will be withheld until the showing and proving has commenced. -- Aaron McGruder

You guys should live in Canada. We are taxed so much it's a joke. 15% on every single thing we buy. But when a country give so much away, I guess the rest of us have to pick up the slack to pay for everything right canada

Goddamn... that sucks. I hate taxes.

Ice, I don't care what u say, u are sooo a Rebulican! Saying you're a Libertarian is only fooling yourself no matter how close it is.

Libertarians are AGAINST taxes as well. I am not a Republican at all, but I agree with many of their fiscal policies.

Are you sure that you know what the Libertarians stand for???

Nope, not at all, why don't u tell me? I still think you're a Republican...

If you think that I am a Republican, you don't understand them either.

IceNine is about as Libertarian as one gets. Read his past posts...the guys practically shits libertarianism! eek There's NO WAY he's Republican. Especially not when they're currently being hijacked by a bunch of goddamn "Born Again" religious zealot freaks.
