Trump takes Biden’s bait, defends his Charlottesville ‘both sides’ response

It took one day for President Trump to take Joe Biden’s bait.

Departing the White House on Friday morning, Trump defended the comments he made in the aftermath of the violent 2017 white supremacist march in Charlottesville, Va. when he claimed that there were “very fine people on both sides.”...

Virginia judge rules Charlottesville confederate statues are war monuments

A Virginia judge has ruled that statues of Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson in Charlottesville are war monuments that the city cannot remove without permission from the state.

In a nine-page ruling obtained from the University of Virginia School of Law website, Circuit Court Judge Richard E. Moore said neither the intentions of the people who erected the statues nor how they make people feel change the fact that the statues pay homage to the Civil War. Moore cited state code in his ruling that says it is illegal for municipalities to remove such monuments to war...

Thank goodness we got most of ours down. I saw an interview with former Mayor Landrieu. He said Wynton Marsalis brought it up to him and he decided to act on it. They are long time friends.

I think his actions over the last many years shows he has not one ounce of common decency. He's a pig and is only in it for all the power and attention.

No surprises there with trump doubling down. That's what dumbasses do. Not to mention he's morally bankrupt. His presidency will not end well. It's only going to get worse, unfortunately. He's going to be more defiant than ever now that the Mueller report is out. Just about all of his guardrails are gone. So he's going full trump without regard for the Constitution, rule of law, etc.

-

No one in his party is going to even attempt to hold him accountible, and he knows this. It's no holds barred from here on out for his presidency and re-elect attempt.

For me as a European, it is simply unbelievable what a completely value-free personality Americans have chosen as their president. a country that has been sold for decades as a worldwide moral entity is ruled by a semi-private real estate cheater.

I can’t wait to see Biden debate trump. Out of all the Democratic candidates, Biden is not afraid to challenge trump. So far, Biden is ahead of all the Democratic candidates.

Agree. He’s worried now because Biden got into the race, and he knows that Biden’s the one will will show trump no mercy, when he calls trump out on his lies. Trump claimed bankruptcy 6 times, and it was surprising to hear that some trump supporters voted for trump, because of his business experience. Apparently they didn’t take the time to research that part of his history.

Policy. Take a look at just the true reason why we have had open borders for so long. Certainly allowing people in to hire them illegally is a form of slavery and likely the people that hire illegals are often racists.

Berns will be the alternative to Biden. So he will cut into his vote if everything stays as planned. If the Democrats were smart they would find a viable Republican to pump up against Trump.

Biden will be good at throwing jabs and insults it is when they start speaking in depth about policy that Trump will have no problem with Biden. I believe Biden will be the politician running against Trump. Can't imagine how terrible it would be in America with Joe Biden as President but at least it will be better than Obama years.

There's a lot more history of Trump' s documented legacy of racism against other people besides "illegal " aliens.
