At least 16 states — led by California — have joined to sue the Trump administration over the U.S. president's declaration of a national emergency to fund a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Wow. There is no national emergency. Wonder how far this will go...... to the highest court in the land?

Saw Cali's AG Xavier Becerra all over the news since he is leadng this effort. I think Trump wants to go to the highest court, confident that his newly assembled conservative leaning SCOTUS will rule in his favor like the Muslim Ban. However, Roberts has become the wild card - he is very adamant that the SCOTUS not be viewed as a political vehicle (so they say) and he hmself could lean either way. But with everyhting Trump said during his crazy announcement last Friday, it is anything but an emergency at the southern border... more like a polictical proimise he is trying to get done before 2020.
