The hate crime data are being collected since 1990.

Earliest data available online are from 1996.

Then:
10,706 incidents of which were anti black: 4,469 (41,7%)

20 years later:
7,321 incidents of which were anti black: 2,122 (29,0%)

You do know that most of those hate crimes are not reported right? What you choose to not acknowledge is thatbtrump’s open, racist rhetoric has contributed to racists coming out in the open with their racism and the reason many of those incidents are making the news, and reported. The racists have always been here, but trump’s presidency has brought msnynout in the open displaying their ignorance and stupidity. A bunch of insecure people who fear and are jealous of any economic progress of the Black and Briwn populationin America. If they had an confidence in themselves, they wouldn’t display such ignorance and lack of self-esteem over those from different racial groups. These racist attacks on many people of color is nothing new in America. It stems from America’s racist history and the system of racism America is built and on.

People of color are not responsible for white rscists’ low self esteem and lack of self confidence.

On "The View" today, Sunny Hostin described an incident that occurred to her on July 4th at a beach house her and her friends were staying at, when a group of White youths passed by saying they were "patriots" and Sunyy and her friends were "n******s".... Among her friends in the house was an Ivy League educated lawyer....Isn't America great ??

So true....most racial incidents that happened to me involved people who had less education and money than me or my family and friends...

a) Most probably, yes.
b) without data, that's nothing more then a feeling.

And my point is not that there aren't racist idiots running around.
I only objected against the thread title. Data from your federal government show different.
Its 'headlines' like these which play a substential role in polarizing society.

What's "polarized society" is a President who has a long history of racial animus making statements (and actions) which display that animus _...which has enboldened many others to air their racist views. It may be a "feeling", but many of us have experienced these events personally , or know people who have

All you have to do is hold your nose and listen to 30 seconds of one of his bat shit crazy, racist, disgusting nazi rallies to get an idea why this society is so polarized.

Trump bankrupted an entire city (Atlantic) FULL of casino money. Then moved on to the US national coffers - and Russia pockets. We are miles past that academic argument.

okay, so i'm posting the following video just to show how overt acts of color bias against black people in our country is becoming more and more bold.

my question is why did this white female who confronted the black Yale student feel so emboldened as to play the "donna dorm vigilante?"

I heard the ones who did it ran away when Sonny and some of her fam came out to confront them, and the ones who were still there claimed it want them, but then why did they remain there? They were just as guilty. It’s obvious they learned that ignorance from home.

.

56% starting from 100K? More?

In the Netherlands it is like this:

Belastingschijf Inkomen Percentage belasting
Eerste schijf Tot € 20.142 36,55 procent
Tweede schijf Tot € 33.994 40,85 procent
Derde schijf Tot € 68.507 40,85 procent
Vierde schijf Vanaf € 68.507 51,95 procent

Four levels (schijf).

We have some socialism here but still they do not take very good care of things like state pensions, private pensions, unemployment benefits, etc. It is supposedly the best pension system in the world yet for a few years they were not able to index the pensions to grow with inflation.

But we've not descended to the Illinois level yet.

Things like that are symptoms.

It is a system, a country, that is unable to provide for the people.

And a system that throws propaganda onto the people so that it appears reasonable to do things like they are done. (military industrial complex, justice, politics, etc, etc)

USSA needs to get rid of the money in politics.

USSA needs to get rid of the foreign influence in politics.

USSA needs to get rid of theirinfluence in foreign politics.

Then it might be a slightly better place.

Which one? You've started close to a dozen on just the first 2 pages of google search. I'm not against Chomsky, after all he did say hold your nose and vote for HRC. That was good advice.

Business Insider - today

Papa John's
(stock) drops after report alleges chairman used racial slur

...Wednesday a report that Chairman, founder and former CEO John Schnatter used a racial slur on a conference call

** Forbes reported https://www.forbes.com/si...018/07/11/papa-johns-founder-john-schnatter-allegedly-used-n-word-on-conference-call/#1d257bb94cfc that Schnatter used the offensive term for black people on a call with a marketing agency aimed at preventing future public-relations crises

** According to the report, Schnatter complained that in the past, "Colonel Sanders" used the racist term without facing a public backlash

** Schnatter stepped down as CEO of PZZA in January after he came under fire for blaming soft pizza sales on the National Football League's handling of national anthem protests by players

** In a statement, PZZA said: "Papa John's condemns racism and any insensitive language, no matter the situation or setting. ... We take great pride in the diversity of the Papa John's family, though diversity and inclusion is an area we will continue to strive to do better."

If he’s paying 56% on the majority of his salary, he’s making a lot. Good for him, but equally good that he pays that much. But I suppose some people are so poor that they only have money, and his final sentence makes me think that might be the case.

Black Man Told To Leave Pool At His Own Apartment Complex In Indianapolis

“Why do I have to leave my pool?”

A black man says he was told to leave the pool at his own...nt complex where he has been renting a unit for more than a year in an incident he described as racial profiling.

Shayne Holland told the Indianapolis Star he was relaxing after a workout last Friday when he was approached by an off-duty police officer working as a security guard at his apartment complex. The woman, seen in a video Holland posted to Twitter, reportedly asked if he lived in the area then asked for his address without identifying herself. He showed her his apartment key, which gives him access to the pool, but declined to give his exact address.
