Is anyone really suppose to care? Now she knows how it feels to be turned away. She’s cold and callous. When trump is no longer president he won’t give a rat’s ass what becomes of her anyway. She needs to wise up on that. On the other hand, a bunch of nutbag supporters were calling the Red Hen Restaurant in New Jersey, which has nothing to do with the Red Hen Restaurat in Virginia. That’s how assinine some of trump’s supporters are.

lol they just googled Red Hen and ran with it? The owner is taking a lot of everything for this decision. Hope they can rally and already have a dedicated clientele.

Yes the owner at the New Jersey one, made a public statement that their restaurant welcomes everyone, and is not affiliated with the restaurant in Virginia with the same name.

This is how twisted ‘some’ of the ignorant, racist republicans are. They associate Latino culture with gangs and crime, and now associate democrats with the same, type ignorance.

Trump’s entire campaign was, and his presidency is based on using the ‘race’ card. Let’s see if any diehard conservatives will ever admit that, because some of them always find a reason to accuse the left of that. They won’t though because trump’s entire presidency is based on lies, ignorance and promoting racial and cultural hatred.

I feel for them mixed up in this.

So much of any restaurant's success or failure is word of mouth. Saying they have bad food gone viral is not good even if it is not true. I would be patronizing the one in Virginia if I lived anywhere near there. Especially after the hysteria wears off.

True, and I’m sure the one in Virginia will get more customers after that situation.

The Guardian 6/24

Expert: Sarah Sanders broke ethics rules with tweet about restaurant

On Saturday, using her official White House account, Sanders posted:

“Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington [Virginia] to leave because I work for POTUS and I politely left. Her actions say far more about her than about me. “I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so.”

Walter Shaub, federal ethics chief under Barack Obama and briefly Trump and now a fierce critic of the administration, responded: “Sanders used her official govt account to condemn a private business for personal reasons … she can lob attacks on her own time but not using her official position.”

Well well well... someone used there government issued cell phone to bash a business who HAS THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE. That's what she gets for being a liar and defending a liar.

THE RED HEN rocks!

Ex-White House Ethics Chief: Sanders' Tweet on Restaurant Eviction Violates the Law

https://slate.com/news-an...chief.html

When Sarah Huckabee Sanders took to her official Twitter account to recount how she was kicked out of a Virginia restaurant, it launched a vicious online attack campaign against the establishment. It also amounted to a violation of federal ethics laws. At least according to the former head of the U.S. office of Government Ethics. "Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for @POTUS and I politely left," Sanders tweeted on Saturday from her official @PressSec account as online reports about the incident began to spread. "Her actions say far more about her than about me."

that is the right of that business. I do seem to recall some orgers getting all mad when the same happened to obama people. Or when someone was fired for being an obama supporter.

As to it being an ethics violation? Hog Wash! She was publically shamed for her official position so it is fitting she us her official position to call them out.

Now she knows what it feels like to go someplace and be kicked out, not because of who she is, but because of who she is associated with. Kind of like Mexicans coming to America and being kicked out, not because of who they are, but because of who else is from Mexico (MS-13).

This is the narrative that Trump and his minions and his mindless followers have bought into...that every Latino immigrant is somehow a potential gang member, and you have to watch out for them,, before they completely "infest" America. And using those poor family members who had relatives murdered by immigrants (which statistically is MUCH LESS LIKELY than being harmed by an American born citizen) was just disgraceful. But not unexpected ...

I refuse to believe that, as POTUS, Donald has nothing better to do than send predictable tweets, using the same predictable template (trash the other side, glorify our side), and using the same 'in the gutter' vocabulary to degrade and belittle his 'opponents'. It is unprofessional and predictable - and it's a shame that something that should have been a private request between patron and owner has become so symbolic of the ever increasing American divide that Trump has caused.

It never ceases to amaze me how cruel humans can be against fellow humans and animals, especially when in the pursuit of money and power.
