Apparently pediatricians or even the UNICEF aren't allowed to intervene in order to help the children. sad

Sounds like the best remedy would be to actually remove the problem at its source; by removing Trump and his absurd administration from their undeserved posts. I wonder who would have that power... 🤔

What a mess. Many of those parents are being forced to drop their asylum claims and agree to be deported, in order to get their children back. Some have no papers to claim the heir children, so just imagine the hell they are going through to get their children back. This trump administration is the worst ever. Mean, callous, no soul. How can they sleep at night knowing the pain they are causing these parents, just because many of them were seeking asylum.

Like one parent said.. it was easy for this country to take away their children from the parents, yet difficult to return them to their parents. Damn shame.

CBS news this morning

What the parents have to pay for to get their kids back:

DNA tests
Passports- paperwork
Plane ticket for child - one way
Plane ticket for Guardian - round trip

Paraphrasing, they flashed the list onscreen but I can't find it. If the parents can't pay all that, then what are they going to do with the children? Regular citizens have asked to be foster parents and were shut down. They still won't let media in those places either.

There wouldn't be any costs had they've kept the kids with the parents, but then they had to ship them out across the US.

This is really f'd up. This administration are idiots.

the whole mess is egregious. to think that the families were seperated and then placed in detention without due diligence or proper paperwork.
then knowing that there are no files retained or identification cards distribute to all the detainees is worse than how the germans treated Jews during the holocaust.
at least the gestapo kept proper records and files.

If they want the kid(s) back they have the parent pay the air fare. Only thing is the parent does not have the funds to pay for the air fare to be reunited.

Agree. He’s a racist and mentally unstable, that’s what’s wrong with him. Another sin committed by America. Does it ever stop? A shame that the migrants are not only being punished for crossing into America, they’re really being punished for being Brown and Black and crossing the border. Interesting in America’s past how they had no problem shopping many Brown and Black acoss tbe oceans to force them into slavery, physical abuse and rape.

STATUE OF LIBERTY:Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free....” But according to trump and his administration...if you’re Brown and Black and seeking asylum or have a desire to immigrate to America...don’t bother coming here.

They saw Trump as the one who would preserve "White Privilege" for them and their family. Obviously that was more important than seeing a woman advance in society

Exactly. That’s why he uses the race card, and use Mexican immigrants, legal or illegal, as bait to blame them for crime in America, which is a bs lie. It’s his alarm for his white supporters to create fear in them, and lie to them about their opportunities being stolen by immigrants of color. His immigration issue is to keep more ’Brown and Black’ out of America. He wants the racial division to keep America more White. Many of his White supporters fell for his message, yet are being bamboozled, because no wall will keep America from becoming more Brown, no matter what s trump feeds them. He is feeding his supporters his own insecurities and fear of losing white privilege, that for so long has benefitted many within the White population.

This whle immigation stunt is so harmful and not even effective. The census shows that the population is growing more for minorities (Hispanic, Asian, Black) than caucasians in this country. The minorities WILL be the majority - it *is* happening!

Absolutely. That’s why trump and many of his supporters are going crazy. They actually think that building a wall to prevent Brown and Black people from entering the U.S. legally or illegally, will stop that from happening. It won’t. It’s inevitable. It’s going to happen. America will turn Brown.

Many trump supporters are cheering trump on, because they think he can stop it, especially his white nationalist nutbags. He has his supporters so far up his ass, they can’t see they’re being used. All trump cares about is himself and the fact that he can tuck the title of president under his belt. This whole presidency is about himself because he is in love with ‘power and control.’

The gov missed the deadline for reunification. They are still saying 3000 children. They also have to pay their own bond before they can get their kids.

https://www.msn.com/en-us...smsnnews11

Strangers raise $43K to help migrant mothers reunite with separated children

According to HHS's data released on June 25, children separated from their parents were in facilities scattered across sixteen states.

Itzep-Lopez's and Soch-tohom de Bulux's children were moved thousands of miles away from where their mothers were held in Arizona. Hundreds of strangers guide the way Itzep-Lopez arrived to the 1,596-bed Eloy Detention center on June 6, after spending 11 days eating soup and sleeping on a cold floor with only a Mylar blanket.

The following week, she had a credible-fear interview, the first of many steps to pursue asylum and relief from deportation.

By June 13, her domestic abuse case was deemed credible, and she was issued a bond, which would allow her to leave detention. Between tears Itzep-Lopez recounted when she found out her bond was $15,000.

“I became afraid,” Itzep-Lopez said in Spanish. “I saw it and I wanted to say, 'My dear God, with this, how I am going to leave? Holy Father, I want to see my children. I don’t have resources to pay this.'”

Try explaining that to trump and his administration. They are the ones who gave the o.k. to separate the children from their parents.

considering the fact of the lack of correct record keeping documenting the names of each family including each related child & member in it's entirety is a large violation by trump's detainment center office boyz and girlz.

It was done on purpose, it isn't incompetence.

Trump keeps saying this will keep people from coming here (from the Mexican border). They WANT to send this message and they are using the families/kids as collateral. It will drag on a long time. Some won't be reunified, all the red tape and confusion assures that. They also have at least 9000 children in detention from before the Zero Tolerance push waiting for their fate.

Meanwhile those privately owned tent cities are raking in US Gov dough at the rate of $775.00 per person per night. That's only what they're admitting to.

I've been curious as how the detainment holding facilities have been keeping the traumatized children under control. then I come across this:

Government-funded treatment center forcibly injected immigrant kids with drugs:
JUN 20 2018 | 4:15 PM
-
Migrant children, traumatized from being detained under the Trump administration’s zero tolerance immigration policy, are being forcibly injected with powerful psychotropic drugs that can lead to movement disorders, cause obesity, and have other long-lasting, harmful effects on children, according to new legal filings.

Children held at Shiloh Treatment Center, a government-funded facility in Manvel, Texas, described being placed on multiple psychotropic medications without their parents’ consent.

wow!
all these children are being drugged while the potus recently spoke out against america's problem with the abuse of pharmaceutical drugs?

Yes, I am choking up. How extra cruel to make her put her non-verbal child in a car seat to take him away and then slam the door before she could comfort him. They are approaching Sophie's Choice territory here.

With all the thousands of dollars they are charging them to get their children back, if you have more than one in detention it really could come down to that. disbelief

Grannies Respond/Abuelas Responden is a movement of grandmothers and their allies who have been similarly spurred to action by the humanitarian crisis unfolding on the southern U.S. border. Over six days, beginning July 31, 2018, their caravan will journey more than 2,000 miles, onboarding other “grannies” along the way. They will host rallies in strategic political districts in cities along the way to protest the Trump administration’s zero tolerance policy for immigrants and asylum seekers.

Beginning with a rally in New York City, Grannies Respond was planning to make stops in Reading and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Louisville, Kentucky; Montgomery, Alabama; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Houston, Texas before finally reaching a detainment facility in either McAllen or Brownsville, Texas.

Wow, Trump Derangement Syndrome is rampant on this thread. Are people too unhinged to understand that, if you don't like the law, change it? The Trump name calling and dog piling is getting old (and he was not my choice), but we are a country of laws (even though some seem to be above it lately). Not everyone on the right are bigotted homophobes and not everyone on the left are socialist, ignorant nutjobs. Stop falling into the traps of not believing that most people want what is best for everyone, we just disagree on what it takes to get there. We're being manipulated by people who want money and power.
