A Special Place in Hell

According to the White House Director of Trade Policy Peter Navarro, says that "There's a special place in hell for any foreign leader that engages in bad faith diplomacy with President Donald J. Trump and then tries to stab him in the back on the way out the door." 1:23 mark

http://www.foxnews.com/po...-says.html

I find this remark very disturbing because, imo it implies that going against Trump is worthy of going to hell for. It subtly implies that Trump is some sort of god. Does anyone else get this impression?

Yeah, that was a bizarre statement. And as you said tmo1965, it was also very disturbing. I hope and pray that that man(trump) is out of office soon. He's been in office less than two years and it already feels like 8.

Crazy stuff... eek

The remarks were childish and frankly, the kind of stuff you usually hear from liberals. I'm surprised a conservative went that low.

Your impressions are, in my opinion, nothing but grasping at straws. It was vulgarity, that is all. No religious symbolism at all.

Trump embodies bad faith diplomacy. Except the word has changed to deal making. You are correct, it is disturbing. Note - this is his Trade Policy Director.

Lol, I read and posted on both of those threads - quite a bit on your thread. I do not agree that Samatha Bee is the scourge you seem to think she is.

Your statement above is quite a reach. Honestly, I don't know if you identify as Liberal or Conservative either. And how is "special place in hell" NOT religious symbolism?

I've never heard a "liberal" make anything close to such a statement. Which alternative reality are you in? In my experience 99% of ignorant asinine remarks come from right wing politicians and media.

This is typical banter now for this administration. Everyone must cater to his fragile, childish ego. The verbiage was beyond over the top and simply uncalled for. trump speaks in hyperbole, so likewise, so does his imps. However, the more you defend him and his so-called, "policies", and disparage anyone who speaks anything unapproved by King Cyrus, excuse me trump, the more your stock goes up with him.

-

So anyone that disagrees with this president is evil or bad. What's worst is Trudeau only publically stood up for Canada, just like trump calls himself doing for America. But when another president does it, trump feelings gets hurt and offended that someone would publically say they will not be pushed around? That's weak. I don't care how he tries to spin the hell out of it. That's mad weak. So trump agreed to the Communique, only to pull out because his feelings were hurt because the Canadian leader didn't publically suck his **&%? What a wuss. "I don't wanna play no more. Give me my ball, I'm going home!" lol

trump can get away with murder with his base. There is no moral standard with his base, only a double standard when it comes to him. His base is convinced that he's looking out for them so nothing else matters. They don't care how he does it, just do it.

This should be posted in every conservative and religious forum you can find. Those voters either ignored it or (more likely) didn't hear it because they don't go to the places where this stuff was posted the first time.

Take it to THEIR home sites. Many will not like what they hear. Some minds will be changed. Some eyes will be opened. As we saw in 2016, it was less than 50,000 votes from those lazy slobs in PA, WI and MI that would have given us President Hillary Clinton rather than the trainwreck we have now.

Post it as a response to all the posts about DeNiro's speech.

Unfortunately, his people thinks this is what "American strength" looks and sounds like. November can't get here soon enough. lol

I just question who's going to show up to vote. We'll see. It's a lifetime between now and November in American politics. A lot can and will happen between now and then.

First let me say, I'm far from a defeatist. But those so-called Christian voters will not care about his language because they still voted for him in office after the Access Hollywood audio tape was released. As long as he's their vulgar "conservative" champion, that's all that matters. If he wasn't "standing up for their values", you'd probably see a different response from that group.

I think the "standing up for their values" voters are far less than we think. Do not believe that the screechers you hear on Fox News or talk radio represent all Republican voters. After all, Barack Obama won two elections, didn't he?

He got a lot of those voters that HRC didn't. So in my mind, they are retrievable.

Definitely ! If Obama had done or said 1/4th of the things Trump has, these so-called "conservatives" would have been braying about it 24/7 ....so much for "values" and "morality" ...

You say cursing is why we won't win an election - that's your opinion. You've said before you have a thing about cursing, especially when women curse. Everyone does not share that or think it is as important as you do. Trump is not going to win BECAUSE his opponents curse. Evangelicals voted for Trump who said motherfucker et al repeatedly during his campaign.

Who exactly are we losing? Please don't say Fox News viewers again.

We're supposed to be attempting to win back people who have already voted for a man who has not only said the most obscene things (and let me add that I personally am a lot more offended by his racism and sexism than by profanity)but has DONE them (such as banging porn stars and other acts of infidelity and sexual harassment). So these potential voters who have previously supported Trump cannot be assumed to be so easily offended.

Call him a pimp. A brothel owner. A businessman.

Now call him the Republican nominee for a Nevada State Assembly seat.

It was Dennis Hof’s second shot at the seat held by Republican James Oscarson. The last time he tried, he ran as a Libertarian. But when Donald Trump was elected president in 2016, Hof saw an opportunity.

He won handily Tuesday night, defeating Oscarson and getting a concession from the incumbent via text message at 11:21 p.m.
