Crazy shit going on in Poland. Is this holocaust denial?

Never thought I'd side with Israel, but today I did:

https://www.cnn.com/2018/...index.html

Tillerson is siding with Poland somewhat? When will Trump open his big beak and spout some offal?

This is a grand refusal to support free speech and it says Poland wasn't partly responsible for the Holocaust.

All good people must defy this awful law.

There is no historic truth or facts in politics, just national interest.

They say history is written by the victors, and it´s true.

they were occupied at the time, it was not so much Poland as it was Germany. If I break into your house and open a brothel does for a year and then get kicked out that mean you operated it?

Is this holocaust denial? Yes, 3 million out of the 6 million Jews murdered were Poles - if you actually read the article.

No, it's not holocaust denial. Their point is that "Polish camps" makes it seem that it was Poles who did the killing. The camps were in Poland, but they were not "Polish". This, however, does not mean I agree with the Polish government on this. They have to face the fact that all of these horrible things happened in their country whether they like it or not. There's a nationalistic movement taking over in Poland and it's not good...
In my own country, we had a camp called Westerbork where Dutch Jews were rounded up and sent off to the concentration camps in Germany and Poland. We had a Dutch Nazi party, we had the Dutch police helping the Germans to find Jews, we had traitors who told the Germans about Jews who were hiding in return for money... It's an ugly part of our history and we acknowledge that. No country should try to hide that part of their history.
We had resistance fighters too! Be proud of the heroes from the past, but don't ignore the dark side...

Interesting, and I see the difference you are pointing out North. Muddy waters.

And there were also Poles who fought for the Allies. There was a rebellion in Warsaw in 1944 that was ruthlessly suppressed by the Germans while the advancing Russians could have intervened, but they didn't. Stalin thought it was easier to take over a weakened Poland. And so they had to suffer a Communist regime for the next 45 years.
And going back in time, Poland has been sliced up between Prussia, Austria and Russia until the country was non-existant in the 19th and early 20th century until the end of WW1. And then Hitler came. And then Stalin. I can understand where this Polish nationalism is coming from, but I still don't like it...

I think thats what this is about... bad reporting. I think they want the camps referred to as German death camps... even if they were within Poland.
