Bad News for YOU - No way could you immigrate to the USA

Below is the test you have to take under President Trump's proposed RAISE Act. It would severly curtail legal immigration into the USA. Want to see if YOU could immigrate legally? Take the test!

HINT: Unless you won a Nobel Prize or an Olympic medal, you probably aren't getting in. I sure as heck wouldn't be let in! My age (58) is a 0 factor that I could not overcome without a Nobel Prize, LOL.

And really - this test IS NOT a joke. It is the actual test our esteemed president wants foreigners to take and pass before they can immigrate. No, really.

i do not think there have been millions of noble prizes and Olympic medals combined... but if i knew on one right away there must be more...

EDIT I doubt even 100,000 total have been awarded to NON-US persons...

You probably will not get to 100. I can see medalists becoming American citizens but those two things are irrelevant and meaningless.

Oh, it's 100% real. Here's the bill:

https://www.cotton.senate...l_Text.pdf

Go to page 25, and look for "8 ‘‘SEC. 220. IMMIGRATION POINTS SYSTEM."

The entire test and points system follows. It goes through page 36. BTW, if your spouse is trying to immigrate with you, s/he had better have won some medals, too!

And just so you know the 30-point threshold wasn't made up, here is what you will find on page 27 of the bill:

17 ‘‘(b) IN GENERAL.—An alien is eligible to submit an
18 application for placement in the eligible applicant pool
19 under section 203(b)(1) if the applicant has accrued a
20 total of 30 points under this section."

what i am saying is it is not meant to be real it is just a draft of a bill... like when libs proposed a draft back during bush... not meant to really go anywhere.

You are incorrect.
The test is reality.
Read their own remarks.

PRESIDENT TRUMP:

<snip>

As a candidate, I campaigned on creating a merit-based immigration system that protects U.S. workers and taxpayers -- and that is why we are here today. Merit-based.

<snip>

The RAISE Act ends chain migration, and replaces our low-skilled system with a new points-based system for receiving a Green Card. This competitive application process will favor applicants who can speak English, financially support themselves and their families, and demonstrate skills that will contribute to our economy.

SENATOR COTTON:

<snip>

The RAISE Act will change all of that by re-orienting our Green Card system towards people who can speak English, who have high degrees of educational attainment, who have a job offer that pays more, and a typical job in their local economy, who are going to create a new business, and who are outstanding in their field around the world.

SENATOR PERDUE:

<snip>

What we're talking about today is very simple: It's measured, it's a rational approach to immigration that will allow us to finally fix once and for all this broken system in a strategic way that will reposition America as a global leader economically.

It is clear to all
These jokers mean what they say.
The merit test is real.

I wouldn't get in either. I missed the threshold by three points. However, it's also because I haven't been actively looking for the jobs in the US. I may consider moving there in the future cause my boyfriend lives there, but he also considers going to Europe.
