I don't think we need to replace any thing, I think it needs to be improved and tweaked a bit, for sure.

Sure, it definitely needs some work, but you'd think Republicans would have some ideas considering it was their fucking plan dating back to 1993 and have had the last 8 years to think about it.

"Kill a bunch of people, make them go broke and crater the economy" is not much of a plan and, even with only 18% public support, the horrible thing barely missed passing because one old man grew a conscience out of nowhere, which is pretty fucking terrifying and says a lot about Reublicans to me. That teh vote was even that close is pretty terrifying.

I don't pretend to know what Republican ideas are, besides "work harder, be meaner to people, die poor and call it freedom" so I started a thread for it and no one has offered any ideas. So I remain unclear. Obviously, the GOP doesn't even like their OWN ideas (if a Democrat enacts them I guess) since the ACA is essentially the 1993 plan hatched by the Heritage Foundation combined with RomneyCare.

I bet if we just voted to rename the ACA to "TrumpTotallyAwesomeTrumpAmericanGreatGoldTrumpPlatedHealthareTrump" and leave it like it is, the stupid motehrfucker would be for it. Or just call it the "TrumpTrumptrumpityTrump Act" so our petulant manchild president can see his name.

At least we can confirm that Republicans can't govern (and have no interest in doing so) and that even with control of all 3 branches of government still manage to blame Democrats for obstruction.

....

Fucking McConnel said that Dems are stonewalling nominations without a hint of irony. Anyone remember Merrick Garland?

Why'd the Trump thread get locked?

Yepityyepyepyep. Scary to think what kind of knee jerk stuff they're gonna do now that the total turmoil is confirmed.

^^Repeal and replace makes sense but just to repeal Obamacare with no plan makes zero sense. McCain voted correct and this cements him in history as a free thinking maverick and though he has done some wrong by taking money from corp and enemies the same can be said for every President and known politician.

Sadly, i for one believe that's the reality with our politicians around the world.

McCain says American leadership was better under Obama

McCain says american lead...l Politics

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said American leadership was stronger under President Trump’s predecessor, according to a Guardian report published Sunday.

Asked if the country stood on sturdier ground under former President Obama’s leadership, McCain said “yes,” according to the report.

“As far as American leadership is concerned, yes,” said McCain, though he vocally criticized many of the Obama administration’s foreign policy decisions.

McCain also lost to Obama when he ran as the GOP nominee in the 2008 presidential election.

He's not wrong. Then again put my 6 year old in the Oval Office and he could provide better leadership
